Madison Cawthorn told a crowd yesterday:"The reason why they have taken these political prisoners is because they're trying to make an example because they don't want to see the mass protests in Washington. They don't want to see people addressing their government for leaving thirteen Marines to die in Afghanistan.
What’s controversial is we've got 536 people being held in solitary confinement for 23 hours out of the day who are not being allowed to have religious freedoms. Who are having their rights stripped away from them, not being capable of having someone represent them and being political hostages.
This is something that when I first started hearing about it, I was, like, 'No way that's really going on.' But I'll tell you with the small amount of investigating we've done, it's going on."
The number changes daily with new arrests, but at the last count, fewer than 50 Capitol rioters are being held awaiting trial, not 536. And rather obviously, none of them have been denied lawyers.
He says the obvious lie because Trumpers/Rightist eat it up each and every time.

The House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Capitol riot is poised to send notices to various telecommunications companies requesting that they preserve the phone records of several people, including members of Congress.Preserving communications records is the first step in an investigatory process that could eventually lead to witness testimony. The notices are set to go out as soon as this week and provide the first window into the kinds of information the committee plans to pursue.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Representative Jim Jordan both spoke to Donald Trump over the phone the day of the attack.
And Representatives Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs had meetings and discussions with people who have claimed credit for instigating the events of January 6th.
Representatives Mikie Sherrill and Sean Patrick Maloney also saw Republican members of Congress giving reconnaissance tours of the U.S. Capitol the day before the riot.
Apparently there's going to be another Rightist "rally" at the Capitol on the 18th of this month to protest the charges and arrest of the domestic terrorist who attacked on Jan 6th. They're calling it the "Justice For J6" rally.
Yup, they're going to be out in support of domestic terrorism #maga
Hopefully the authorities take the terrorist sympathizers and potential terrorist seriously this time and prepare like they would prepare if it was a BLM rally protesting the murder of Black people by the police, an overabundance of officers, full tactical gear, SWAT, etc.
