Holy. Shit.

That was some bonkers testimony today.

Didn't watch, but heard some choice snippets.

A witness relaying Trump's temper tantrums and the throwing of dishes and other items when he didn't get his way. Too funny.

This is to be expected from the traitors: "Footage played during the Tuesday hearing of the Jan. 6 committee showed Gen. Mike Flynn repeatedly pleading the Fifth when asked by Rep. Liz Cheney about whether he believes violence was justified on Jan. 6 or if he believes in a peaceful transition of power."

I think the phone call is still what he'll be prosecuted over.

Trump's "I just want to find 11,780 votes" call to Georgia's top election official?

Remember when every KMC Trumper defended that? Robtard remembers.

The poor baby was pissed that his crowd wasn't big enough and wanted armed assholes to be allowed in. And he knew he was going to be telling an army of armed assholes to storm the Capitol building.

He apparently attacked his own security officer and grabbed the wheel trying to go to the Capitol so he could see his minions with his own eyes, I guess.

And then right at the end text messages trying to influence witness testimony, therefore trying to obstruct justice.

Holy. Shit.

I'll raise you...

She spoke of how White House officials were warned of the potential for violence. And, in perhaps the most damning testimony so far, she said Donald Trump personally knew that members of the crowd at his morning rally near the White House were armed because they were being turned away by Secret Service officers - and directed them to the Capitol anyway.

"I don't [expletive] care that they have weapons. They're not here to hurt me," Ms Hutchinson said she heard the president say. "Let my people in. They can march to the Capitol from here."

If that's all the news outlets are telling then it's shameless cover-up.

She's Mark Meadows top aide, clearly she's a lying leftist.

trump hardly knew her, she was a coffee boy, fAkE NeWz, etc

These hearings have shown a seven layer dip of crime, intent and corruption, but you'll be hard pressed to find a Trumper who will give a shit.

There's Republicans like Barr and Bowers who testified that Trump tried to subvert our democracy, pressured them or others to overturn the 2020 election, pressured them to spread the big lie, pressured them to break the law, but said they'd still vote for Trump again. That's some serious Jim Jones level of cult. No other president has had this type of a cult following.

I just don't understand anyone who can hear all of this, and with a straight face pretend that trump wasn't trying to overturn an election. I mean, maybe that fact doesn't matter to them, but they can scarcely deny his intent.

Trumpers have been denying Trump's intent to overturn the election since Dec 2020, Trump's culpability in setting off the insurrection since Jan 2021 and some are still denying an insurrection even happened. See KMC's Trumpers

Nothing has changed for them. If he gets the nom in 2024 they'll vote for him, if he doesn't get the nom and runs in his own 'MAGA Patriot party', they'll vote for him.

Yes it is... Do you think prosecuting Trump is going to lead to revolutionary violence?

I'm still super skeptical that Trump will be formally charged. But if he is and especially if he is found guilty, his cult will rrreeeeee-act and it won't be peaceful. Look at their previous behavior over not being able to accept election results.

I think your Country becomes an international laughing stock if, after all this no action is taken against him, Merrick Garland must see this.

Absolutely.

I'd hate to be in Merrick Garland's position right now, having to decide to formally charge a former POTUS or not. But even a POTUS should not be above the law.
