Guy Gardner will destroy this movie with ease.

He looked kinda cartoony. But I guess that's the vibe of this film.

Jason Momoa had been cast as Lobo

That's a solid casting pick for Lobo.

Thought the trailer was great.

Gunn's no stranger to handling a larger hero group, while still managing to make the majority of the focus on the main character. Peter in GotG.

The dog though, not doing it for me, and I love dogs. Hopefully the humor works.

If Gunn can do this (strong main character focused narrative with a good ensemble) while giving us a Superman that actually wants to be Superman (like saving the girl from the air tanks in the trailer), I'm on board. If classic rock, every line is a quip or joke James Gunn shows up, no thanks, this ain't the one for that stuff.

Also, please no Zach Snyder melancholy 'what does it mean to be Superman in this modern gray world aarrgh' approach. It worked for me in MoS, but they should've went forward with the universe building, not shoehorn in everything while Clark can't figure out how to be a hero unless he is upset or screaming.

Oh yeah. And an infinitely better pick for him than Aquaman.

As goofy as he is in the role, I actually like him in it. AM1 is one of the better DCU films, imo.

Online these days are just getting stupid between the Snyder fans and those that are looking for to Gunn's new Superman film

particularly the Snyder fans, They're trying waaay too hard to knock this new upcoming DC universe.

facepalm bots

He made it his own and the films were decent. Just not right for the character.

And yeah too goofy. Like when asked if he can pee on their Holy Books (needed water). That would be fine for Lobo, not for the King of Atlantis.

Joe Shuster’s family is suing WB's again over the Superman rights and its stopping the release of the new film in certain countries

Good. 👆

Boo. 👇

I saw something about that. My understanding is that something similar went down with Man of Steel, also?

They do something like this everytime a new film releases to get a pay day.

The estate has been doing it all the back to the release of Superman returns.

Lot of corporate bootlickers in this thread it seems.

If the studio isn't paying the creators' estates and they should be, then **** them. What is owed is owed.

How did the Bill Finger and Bob Kane debacle over Batman's creation go again? This kinda reminds me of that, which took decades to get settled. TPTB have always been like this, but I hope Joe Shuster's family eventually gets what is due for them one way or another, much as I want this movie to be decent and do well.

I remember reading something about the Bob Kane estate attempting to sue and then stuff about Bill Finger came out and they then soon shut up.

That's his original look. Before DC decided to fix his hairdo...

... and his character.
