Magneto caught northstar who wasn't serious or near his top speed. How do we know? What happened when Northstar got serious? He instantly tagged Magneto and flew into space to save Paulie. Why didn't Magento grab him there? hmmmmm?
Northstar also went escape velocity, which is nothing QS at the time was capable of so that comment is way off him being slower.

That art effect could mean anything - from Northstar changing directions mid-flight to him gently rubbing dicks with Magneto, who was completely unaffected and felt happy he got Northstar occupied with something else.
Mags had no interest in grabbing him again, he wanted him elsewhere. So if they indeed made brief contact, focusing entirely on defense (erecting a forcefield) was all Mags needed.
Not sure why you're clinging to that. But I'm pretty sure it was discussed plenty of times before.

Perhaps it was him breaking the sound barrier (that's why it's placed next to Northstar, not next to Magneto)? But "wham" indeed sounds like your classic impact sound effect.

It was a hit, as the speed line shows he ricocheted off of magneto and “wham” solidifies it. If he was breaking the sound barrier it’s commonly a “boom”. Northstar punches have hurt Sasquatch, Wendigo and Hulk. He didn’t even have his shields up so he is lucky Northstar took it easy. There’s a reason he uses Paulie to get Northstar off the playing board
And that’s usually happens when they aren’t taking it serious or going close to their top speed. So goes back to what I said...it’s not an accurate gauge to judge who is faster between Northstar and quicksilver. Especially as right after he beat QS best speed feats at that time by a rather large margin and casually tags Magneto

They are not always visible. Unless you want to believe that Mags has completely no-sold Northstar's flying charge without shields there?
Magnus went toe to toe with Colossus in h2h, no visible shields either, then.
Anyway, again, Mags didn't want to keep fighting him, he wanted to remove Northstar from the battlefield. He achieved his goal.

Sure, because his mission was to save paulie not stop magneto. It basically was a pot shot at magneto for his earlier comment at him. Which again proof is in the pudding he went escape velocity something QS was no where close to achieving at that time.
Sure. He has fought colossus a few times and tanked his shots and yes sometimes shield isn’t clear. But interesting to note he took a pissed off colossus punch and legit didn’t move. While Northstar had more force it seems. Thanks 👆
