It has been more than four months since it was first reported that Trump was telling confidants that he believed he would be reinstated to the presidency in August, reporting that was later confirmed by other outlets—and fed by delusions floated by Trump allies like MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and attorney Sidney Powell.
But according to a new poll from YouGov, a not-insignificant chunk of Republicans still think it is "likely" that Trump will be reinstated this year. Respondents to the poll were asked, "How likely or unlikely do you think it is that Donald Trump will be re-instated as President before the end of 2021?" Among Republicans, 22-percent said it is either "very likely" (11%) or "somewhat likely" (11%) that Trump will be reinstated.

A conspiracy and religion-fueled political conference in downtown Salt Lake City drew about 1,000 attendees on Friday to the Salt Palace Convention Center. People there heard from some of the leading far-right political figures, including Michael Flynn and Patrick Byrne. The WeCANact event, was billed as a place to learn to fight "against the socialist, communist, and Marxist ideologies" in government, schools, and the media.
The event did focus on that promise, but also offered up a large helping of misinformation about COVID-19, vaccines, and the 2020 election. And, to top off the fringe political buffet, there were lots of references to the QAnon conspiracy theory. Organizers initially hoped to sell 10,000 tickets or more to the two-day event in Salt Lake City. They fell far short, with fewer than 1,000 in attendance on Friday.

Flynn Accused of Blackmail Plot to Force "Audits"
A Republican Senate candidate alleged over the weekend that Michael Flynn has sought damaging information on elected officials in a number of states, with the goal of blackmailing them into supporting conspiratorial election audits meant to reinforce Donald Trump's false claims that the 2020 election was fraudulent.
Everett Stern, a businessman who owns a private intelligence firm called Tactical Rabbit and is running for the open U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, held a press conference Saturday to share his findings, later Tweeting out a link to the video of his remarks titled, "Everett Stern Releases New Evidence of Ongoing Domestic Terror Threat Links to General Michael T. Flynn."
