N52 Aquaman vs Hercules

Agreed. Restraining a guy (especially if he's amped on retard strength and flailing wildly about) is way more difficult than simply bullrushing him and KOing him.

One method requires strength (imagine trying to restrain an angry dude) and the other bypasses his strength.

That wasn’t the goal in obsidian age. They were trying to keep the planet in orbit and weren’t even succeeding in doing so.

Stats in general.

By feats I think she’s country level in physical strength, I think she could scale to continental/moon but I don’t think she has the personal feats to put her there.

Her reflexes are MFTL, by the shattered God feat.

Her durability by statements should be moon level/small planet.

I don’t think her stats are what make her capable of fighting Superman or Superman esque characters. It’s the combination of stats mixed with her gear and skill. If you remove her gear I don’t see her fairing well against Supes.

Also think the Shaggyman instance is PIS, given how Shaggyman is historically depicted. Shaggyman isn’t even meant to be put down by physical force. Yet the writer who wrote her punching him at Mach 3 didn’t care about that.

As far as tankiness is concerned between the two, in my opinion, the strongest between them would, or at least should logically also be the tougher of the two.

Hercules should at the very least be 1.5 strength tiers above Arthur. Shaking a planet, and taking Atlas' place was something that Hercules and Superman have done. I'm not sure if I'm remembering it correctly, but I think that Hercules actually had an easier time doing Atlas' job than Superman did. Again, maybe I'm not remembering it correctly. I wish I had the scans to compare.

Oh yeah, I think that Hercules is also the better fighter.

Exactly Superman wasn’t even trying and was actually offering help.

Superman holds back especially while offering help to friends he can one shot kill.

WB Hulk? If we were talking straight facts, if Rogol Zaar went punch for punch with him based on his need to dig to a planet's core to destroy it, WB Hulk should literally be able to physically dominate him. Marvel has never given a limit to his potential strength levels. Diana is nowhere close to that level..

I read that issue, the circumstances make it a bit sketchy to me, since it wasn’t really Shaggyman but a amalgam of 3 DC villain bricks.

Even if we include it though, I’d still argue different writers, different intents.

Different Shaggyman

The Shaggyman Aquaman fought was much more powerful. Able to adapt on the fly

Same one. It's even mentioned in the comic that this was the same Shaggy Aquaman fought.

Writer forgot that SM can adapt. WW shouldn't have been able to beat him. The General was walking all over Superman in WW 3
