Should people propagating false narratives like "stop the steal" be prosecuted?"

Propaganda means 'propagating the faith'

Or if you're from Yorkshire, a proper gander is having a right good look at things.

This is interesting: I know you read about the guy who asked "when do we get to use the guns?"
Is it something that right and left commenters alike would agree that he intends to use his own guns for shooting people? He actually said so here, right? In that case, as a responsible gun owner, doesn't it seem like this guy is predisposed to shooting others in a way that should constitute the removal of his access to weapons?

Wouldn't it be irresponsible to allow him to continue to own guns he intends to use to shoot people? Anyone disagree with that?

You'd need to disarm the entire Right voting 2A believing tyrant opposing US military. The facists and oppressors will rightfully be deposed by the rightous patriot.

FBI Raids Home of CO County Clerk

Federal, state, and local authorities searched the homes of Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters and three of her associates on Tuesday as part of an investigation into accusations the elected official was involved in voting machine security breaches, according to an official who helped conduct the searches.

The FBI carried out a court-ordered search of Peters' home in Mesa County early Tuesday morning, leaving her "terrified," Peters said Tuesday night in an appearance on Lindell TV, an online channel run by MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a Trump supporter and proponent of discredited claims the 2020 election was stolen.

As you may recall, when the county's voting tabulator first went missing, Lindell claimed that he was hiding Peters in a "safe house."

Lindell said one of the homes raided by law enforcement authorities belongs to Sherronna Bishop, a Garfield County resident and former campaign manager for U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert.

The heavy handed reaction proves there is something to hide. This may be the smoking gun to the election theft, good on this Patriot for risking his freedom for the sake of the free world.

"Republican Tina Peters". Something that always was interesting to me was that not only was there no evidence of election manipulation, the assumption from the right seems to be if evidence were found, it would definitely show wrong doing by the left. I'm not so sure that was the side cheating. Trump said repeatedly leading up to the election that the Democrats were cheating- which would motivate Republicans to find a way to "even the score".

We shall see. Currently, in November, 2021, there is no evidence of election fraud.

More to that point. Seems like every case of fraud that comes up continues to be from the Republican side...

GA Election Workers Sue Far-Right Site for Defamation

Two Georgia election workers targeted by Donald Trump in a vote-rigging conspiracy theory have sued a far-right website that trumpeted the false story, alleging it incited months of death threats and harassment against them.

The defamation suit against The Gateway Pundit was filed Thursday by Wandrea "Shaye" Moss, a voter registration officer in the Fulton County elections office, and her mother, Ruby Freeman, who was a temporary worker for the 2020 election. The women were featured in a Reuters report published Wednesday on their ordeal.

The lawsuit names the St. Louis-based website, its founder and editor Jim Hoft, and his brother, writer Joe Hoft. It alleges they repeatedly published demonstrably false claims that portrayed the women as "traitors" who conspired to "steal the presidential election in Georgia."

Enjoy bankruptcy, assholes.

Two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Wandrea "Shaye" Moss, filed a defamation lawsuit Thursday against One America News Network and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, saying they were defamed by false claims that they committed ballot fraud in connection to the 2020 election.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in Washington, D.C. says One America News Network, a right-wing cable news channel, accused Freeman and Moss, both Fulton County, Georgia election workers, of ballot fraud even after election officials proved that the allegations were wrong.

Embattled Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters has been indicted by a grand jury on a mix of felony and misdemeanor charges, including attempting to influence a public servant and criminal impersonation. The Republican was indicted on 10 counts, according to prosecutors. If convicted, she could be sentenced to prison.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Peters, who has been under investigation since last summer after she allegedly facilitated a security breach of her county's election system. Peters has cast baseless doubt on the outcome of the 2020 presidential election and aligned herself with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.

MyPillow CEO and vocal election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell came to the steps of the Colorado Capitol on Tuesday to headline a rally claiming to promote "election truth." Also present was secretary of state candidate and embattled Republican Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, who faces felony and misdemeanor charges related to a security breach in the Mesa County elections office.

Colorado’s Independent Ethics Commission is investigating Peters, as well, for allegations she accepted gifts for her legal defense that exceed the limit allowed by state law. Speaking to reporters before his address, Lindell revealed that he gave as much as $800,000 to a legal defense fund for Peters. According to Jane Feldman, former executive director of the commission,"If you are not a close friend or family member of a elected official or a public employee in Colorado, you can only give someone a gift of $65 per calendar year."

57% of Republicans Say Riot Was "Act of Patriotism"

When asked to describe what democracy means to them, 47 percent of Republicans named the protection of individual rights and liberties, while just 22 percent named majority rule—the textbook definition, it apparently does not go without saying, of a democratic political system.

Respondents to the poll were also asked, "Thinking about the people who forced their way into the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, would you say that was more of an insurrection against the United States or more of an act of patriotism?" For Republicans, 57 percent said, "Act of patriotism."

"I don't know whether we should take a lot of comfort in knowing there are still 43 percent of Republicans who think that was wrong," Guy Molyneux, from the pollster Hart Research Associates reflected, "or despair that it's only 43 percent."
