Wolverine did overload a potent nanotech-based hf in combat without prep.
But, granted, it's not the same as Grundy's magical regen --- which is something that definitely does change with his different incarnations, I'll give ya that.
Yeah. That's the problem with magicky HFs - the writers can do whatever they want with it.
But my scan doesn't show ALL the damage Grundy underwent there. The soldiers were shooting him, he had been shot at with holy water bullets, then had Franky shoot him with a shotgun that was powerful enough to shoot through Neh-Buh-Loh....and Grundy still wasn't put down, even fighting Alan Scott after. It took the Sword of Michael to do it, and THAT also wiped out all plant life in the area (CLICK ON ALL LINKS):

Slicing his arms off would do nothing, as they are now capable of tearing Amazo's head off completely independently of Grundy's body.
cut off grundy's head and punt if faaaarrr away is what I was thinking of and his hands and his legs and his D!$#. still a better tactic than grundy catching wolverine and doing to him what WWH did. all of this is based on my opinion that logan is smarter and faster than grundy, but I may be wrong.
cant really say that grundy can do what wwh did since WWh did have a strategy specifically for him.

Actually, he wasn't. Amazo was floating above him, keeping his (admittedly short) distance, using his lasers, and the arm shot up in the air and grabbed him.

Kinda gotta be able to grab him though. Grundy isn't all that graceful and probably wouldn't be able to pull that off based upon his own fighting skills. Gruny could win, and I was unaware of how good his HF was as well. But Logan could conceivably butcher him up into meat cubes as well.
Grundy arms grabs Logan with the attempt to rip his head off not knowing its connected with adamantium. After a fail attempt, seconds later, Wolverine slice the hand off that is holding him and lop his head off. He then gets to do whatever he wants to after that. I consider Wolverine a more tactical fighter than me and I'm even thinking of chopping the rest of his body into small pieces. Grundy wasn't functioning at all after getting his head blown off.
