I can see what the joke is in that the "undisclosed" truth he believes he is gesturing towards is the notion hat trans-rights movements (like other social justice movements) have been coopted by a middle class/bourgeois set who utilise the very real issues to signify within itself meaning.
It is similar to joking that American "socialists" like Bernie Sanders are more capitalist than Adam Smith (Which isnt hard to be of course).
