"It starts here." - Nigel Farage

What do you think he meant by that? See Nigeria might have the oil, but not the education or funding that the UK has. By the UK using its own oil reserves providing education and equipment that can be passed on to India and Nigeria. It will liberate those countries and in particular with India, provide a giant economic force in the Indian ocean. From Australia to Oman to Kenya.

As someone who knows both of those Countries well and first and. All I can say to Nigel is... dur facepalm!!!

😆

Kemi Badenoch could be the Education secretary under a Truss government. I'd have preferred her to be Home Sec. but whatever.

IDS as chief whip, Cleverly as Foreighn Sec. Braverman as Home Sec. Patel as party Chairman.

Well, well, well, Whirly. How do you feel about a Nigerian millionaire becoming our education secratary? ermhappy

Yeah. Nigeria are going to buy our oil. It's not like they have more than 10x as much as we do. 👍

Maybe the Tories can force Nigeria and India to buy, or beg.

I feel as greatly disturbed by Badenoch as I do by most Tory MP's. The days of the decent Ken Clarke type Tory are long gone. Fiscally Conservative, Socially Liberal types like him are long gone sadly.

as opposed to old Labour who were socially conservative and fiscally liberal?

oh dear...

But facts...

https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/business-economics/new-research-reveals-labour-is-better-at-handling-the-economy-than-the-conservatives-295748/

"New research reveals: Labour is better at handling the economy than the Conservatives" -snip

Similar in the US, the Left is better, despite the Right's talking favorite point that they're the best at it, but the data and facts show Republicans excel at increasing the deficit and getting us into recessions and crashes.

Federal Deficit Trends Over Time

US Budget Deficit by Year Compared to GDP, the National Debt, and Events

You people really need to vote the Tories out.

It's no doubt the same in the US

"Rishi Sunak has admitted taking money from deprived urban areas in order to give it to other parts of the country." -snip

Was that an accident admitting that, or are they so used to being in power and having no consequences over their shit actions he's all "f**k it, yeah, we steal from the poor to give to the rich, what you gonna do about it?"

But the upward movement of wealth from the financial bottom to the top happens here just the same.

The fact is old Labour lost 1970 due to inflation and 1979 from 'the winter of discontent.'

But yeah, you keep posting your google searches.

I was alive then. A lot more to it than that. A winter of discontent is coming, like never before.

Because Sunak gave out handouts and prices rose. The Tory elites are calling him a socialist whereas the left wing news channel Novaria Media are claiming he might be a challenge against Labour for not being as right wing, yet slag off Labour for not being left wing enough.

Face it, socialist policies don't work.

Yeah, tell me about it.

I'm in a rehab clinic on the NHS. Some people recently got kicked out for taking drugs and they even took some of the free food with them when they did. Thieves.

As for the economy, need I remind you of 2010 and the aforementioned 1970 and 1979?

Okay, so the first one conveniently starts at 1990 and ends at 2016. Looking at it, it coincides with the US economy, so I hardly think it'd make a difference who were in power during those years.

I'll accept that New Labour kept unemployment low, but that's due to third way economics. To summarise, jobs in the social sector essentially fudged the figures to keep government programmes funded. Adam Curtis did a great documentary on it called "the century of self."

As for secondary school spending, I'll give credit to New Labour and the Libdem coalition for those. New Labour essentially stole a Libdem policy there.

Whirly, you know me by now. I'm not a radical rightwinger. Credit where it's due.

This only applies to the lower classes because they're still clinging on to the trade unions. Even Starmer is abandoning them because they haven't grown since the 60s.
