Whirly's right, none of them can win. But Rishi is the only one who can stop Tory's being completely eliminated as a party in 2 years.

An election right now and Tory's are projected to be the number 3 or 4 party, with Labour getting a super majority. More seats than even Tony Blair ever got.

We must never forgive or forget what has happened in the last ten years or Tory rule.

He can't. Because he's a fůcking horrendous choice.

He is a horrible choice, and fortunately, every year the elderly who have fixed views about their betters, and how a pm should look become less. That said, the inherent racism of that demographic excludes Sunak for many of them. The Tories have always embraced wealthy people from the empire, but English people, and particularlyTory voters would not like being ruled by one. In fact, they would like it less than a Scot or Welshman... Brown and Kinnock, fell foul to English racism, I even wonder if John Smith could ever have won, despite being a truly principled man.

Lol, Sunak is going to be the next PM and get slaughtered come the election. I love it. 😂

It will literally be the Tories giving the fall to the black guy.

So was Boris, yet he got a majority of 80. Im just talking about the survival of the party.

Try to make a rebuttal with more substance next time.

It was going to be a more relatively normal loss until Truss got elected. Sunak basically called it in their leadership contest that her policies would crash the economy.

You guys seem to be under the mistaken impression that the better man wins these things.

That at least gives him credibility. He could save the party, but would he be better than Boris? From a public perspective, maybe, but follow the money.

Yes because Boris turned a blind eye to a sex pest. Thats when all the MPs resigned on him.

Tories were 10points ahead of Labour before the whole Party gate thing started. They were 10-15 points behind towards the end of Boris’s reign, but are now 30points behind after Truss’s magic 45days.

I think Rishi should be PM. It's only been implied for like the last few years, but could he be another Gordon Brown? IE, someone who worked so hard for a position only to not be able to handle the pressure properly when he finally got it?

I think hed be like Gordon Brown in that hed get the economy started again after a big crash, but then lose his first general election regardless.

You know, if Rishi stopped saying shit like "as a conservative" and actually said "I'm a free market liberal who believes in more money for rich bastards because we know what's best to make your lives easier and convenient," he'd win the leadership contest and possibly the next election.

Why? You'd still be wrong.

Ass guard, you must be dreaming if you think the Tories are going to get less seats than the SNP and the Libdems.

Are the Reform party going to take their seats? Come on.

Maybe. But not based on anything youve said.

Thats what the latest polls are showing if there was a GE tomorrow.

Dude they literally just tanked the economy and are in internal chaos.

Any evidence Gordon Brown did a bad job with the economy?

Brown Most Successful Chancellor, Say British Political Scientists

Gordon Brown has been rated the most successful post-War Chancellor in an exclusive Ipsos poll of nearly 300 academics belonging to the Political Studies Association (PSA).

The global crash was not his fault.

Thing is, the Tories lied, and the not too bright British people fell for those lies as usual and now we are in this mess. After they Brexited due to their stupid racism, gave us May, post Cameron and Osborne stripping growth through austerity and making people poorer (May was at least moral). Then Boris... who along with Sunak mishandled everything from Pandamic to behaviour of party members. Then Truss... enough said. People know the shit job Sunak has already done, the British populace are very stupid and may vote for him.

Tbh, Sunak like Brown before him didn't do a bad job in Crisis... but, his policies during that time and Brexit, led to the economic woes prior to Truss as Biden's economy just gets stronger. Gordon Brown once said two types of Chancellor exist, "those who fail and those who get out in time." Sunak is lucky Truss ****ed up so badly, it may hide from the retarded British public his chickens coming home to roost... at least in the short term.

Nah im right. Rishi is absolutely their best choice and chance to regain some numbers. And for the markets to regain some confidence.

Seems like you just got triggered by the mention of Tories followed by any sentiment thats not completely negative.

Because your rebuttal (he said a di**ish thing once) was frankly a bizarre one which didnt rebuke anything I said.

So I suggest youre not capable (or willing) of rational thought on the topic of what Torys should do next to benefit their party most.
