There is some hope, as more and more put Todd on their ignore lists every day.
Keeping to my word against looking past my block on Teg, but as this quote fell before my gaze anyways;
..glad to finally get solid proof of a site wide conspiracy against me.
One more mystery settled.

Yes hes not selling it. But will have to step down as head of Twitter.I doubt he planned it that way (although making the poll means he had to be willing to step down). The reason I dont think it was all part of the plan is because his polls on stopping the suspension of the journalists who doxed him didnt go his way either (he was clearly expecting it to given he gave it a second attempt by changing the wording).
So like I said, hes essentially fired himself, which might be a first.
Yesterday, Musk attended the World Cup with the Saudis who lent him the money to purchase Twitter. He allegedly confided that Twitter is headed for bankruptcy.
He will likely have to turn Twitter over to those creditors, so he put up the aforementioned Twitter poll to make it seem like he is doing the will of the users, and not having his property confiscated.
But not before blocking users from linking to other platforms in an attempt to stop Twitter from hemorrhaging users.
To defend this boneheaded move, he characterized Twitter as a publisher, causing a meltdown from the Twitter legal department. Publishers do not have Section 230 protections, and are legally liable for the content posted on their platforms.
But he is a billionarie genius, guys!

It is only a conspiracy if it is a coordinate effort. If people independently decide to ignore you—for whatever reason—then it is not a conspiracy, you just might be an *******.

So Musk has essentially fired himself by making a poll that asks whether he should leave twitter.Spoiler Alert: Hes losing.
There's nothing forcing Musk to follow the rules he's set for himself.
Then again, he might be getting bored of his "new toy" already and wants to let someone else handle it while he looks to play with something else.

Sure. But then literally everyone would know hes a f***ing liar. Even his fan base. Although ive already heard conspiracies that Lefty Bots stole the poll. And no it wasnt intended as a joke.
Also seen now hes agreed only blue tick accounts should be allowed to vote on polls that decide Twitter policy changes.
So yeah hes in a desperate situation of his own making.

It won't matter to the Musk fanboys, he could reverse himself, not fire himself and they'll claim that Musk "owned the libs". When all he did was go back on his word.
No surprise they're coping by claiming the poll was messed with either.
The UK and their ridiculous censorship laws make true freedom impossible.
I don't care how insulting someone is, they could go full racist, homophobia, trans phobia, or whatever kind of insult. Imprisonment is an overreaction and abuse of government authority.
Words only hurt if you let them. And believe me, I know from experience how it feels when your pride is hurt, yet would get very angry if someone was banned for the sake of my ego.

or, if they incite a mob to storm the Capitol, leading to 5 deaths and 138 injured police officers.for instance.
My memory is shot, can you remind me of the circumstances of those deaths?
Because as I recall, most if not all involved things like heart attacks, or in one case a capital police using lethal force against a break and enter.
Not a mob beating/shooting people to death.
Now that the pissing contest is out of the way.. 🙂
I've been pretty clear that I don't subscribe to the notion of incitement. If you said some words and it resulted in an angry mob burning down a church, I would argue in your support, in spite of the fact I am Catholic. I would stress going after the mob actors, and refuse any arguments that speech can force behaviors.
That's just what I believe.

You're right. I mean, Hitler didn't kill any Jews himself.
No, Hitler ordered his soldiers to do it, and created policy allowing it. 😁
I understand the arguments against speech leading to real world harm. I do, and part of me wants to agree.
If it wasn't so arbitrary, I might. I mean, when is it incitement and when isn't it, and who decides? When a grieving father said "Tear it all down", it was ruled this wasn't incitement. Donald Trump clings to his "Stop the Steal" narrative, while telling his followers to go home, and they consider it incitement.
Even if you don't like Trump or agree with a father's reaction to his sons death and the courts exoneration of his killer, you can't really say where the lines are on a case by case basis. They literally make it up as they go.
Which is bad, but could get a lot worse when bad actors use that murkyness, as has, can, and will happen whenever an opportunity arises.
At least if you make examples of people who riot, as opposed to the speaker, then you're attacking something tangible. A behavior, a reaction, a choice.
Hiding behind "mob behavior" simply isn't an excuse for your actions as part of a mob. You don't become an animal, or lose conscious thought. Not unless you're high on drugs or something.
