I'm more inclined to agree with Aaron Bastani on this.

"I’ve been sceptical that Musk is stupid. He’s built massive companies but, more uniquely, Tesla accelerated adoption of electric vehicles by a decade (legacy manufacturers had no incentives to move from combustion engine)."
He goes on to talk about how it seems like a different guy buying twitter as his incompetence so far seems like clown shoes in charge. But I defo agree Musk smart. Definitely not stupid.

Aaron Bastani is an open Marxist though.
His views aren't exactly in line with western mainstream, let alone any notion of free speech (I'm not an absolutist myself, but I can't understand why pointing out that the ability to censor hate speech is a threat on all speech is a controversial statement. SOMEONE has to decide what is hate. Definitions change all the time, and everyone has an agenda.)

Im just saying I agree with him on that. Im not into hack politics.
But surely if your polar opposite agrees youre probably smart, then that counts for more than if Pro-Capitalist Musk fanboys think it.
