Then once she got tagged, did it hurt her? You can't 'hold back' your durability.
A lot of characters get tagged. Even characters with Super speed get tagged by others that don't have super speeed at times. Including Superman. And Diana was capable of reacting to and even dodging SG in that fight. At one time SG tried to blitz, Diana dodged her.
But let's see the context of the whole thing.
Diana arrives in issue 38.
Diana tries to talk to her. Land her a hand and SG takes the opportunity to suckerpunch her.
Then she outfights kara and ties her up with the lasso.
Issue 39. The lasso calms Kara for a moment. So Diana gets close to talk to her and help her. Saying Superman sent her to help Kara. And SG once again takes the opportunity to suckerpunch Diana. And what does Diana do? Attack her? No. Once again she tries to talk to SG and says she is here to help her not to fight her. Then SG attacks again, and Diana is seen being perfectly capable of stopping her attack. Then the robots appeared and SG is weakened. Once again Diana tells SG that she is not SG's enemy, and that she did not come here looking for a fight with SG. Then WW goes to fight the robots. And then by the end of that issue. SG transforms again. And now she says she is no longer affected by kryptonite. That she moved beyond that weakness aka being stronger than before. And what happens after all of this? well issue 40 where again Diana says she doesn't want to fight her. She dodges SG's blitz and picks up the kryptonite to throw it away. And SG takes the opportunity to attack WW at that moment, arguing with Diana for letting her guard down like that. And what does Diana do? Tell her that no matter what form she takes, Kara is not her enemy. Then Diana tells her to talk to her intead of fighting. She gets close to Kara, tries to talk to kara and yet again. Kara suckerpunches Diana when Diana was with her guard down trying to talk to her. And what does Diana do? Attack SG with agressiveness? No. She keeps talking to SG and tells her that she doesn't fight children. To which SG replies i don't need you to fight back. And keeps on attacking a Diana that never attempted to fight back. And then Krypto arrives. Sorry but the context clearly proves that Diana was holding back. and Kara was even more ampede and agressve by the end after she transformed again by the end of issue 39.
