'Cause that can be extremely hard. And if they didn't have to prove it, then what point do the stipulations have? Should the woman have to go through an entire court case to ensure that she was indeed raped in order to get an abortion? Y'know, by that time the child would probably be alive and in middle school.
This is why abortion must be available as a choice to all. Putting restrictions on it will not affect the people some consider to be the "worse offenders" and it will hurt those who desperately need it.

Still seems stupid to only support abortion because of rape victims and women with medical problems.. only 5% of all abortions are for rape or incest, fetal abnormalities, and women's medical problems combined.

That's where the double edged sword aspect comes into play. I mean honestly, if you have this severe hatred for your life that's your business but its no woman's or man's choice to decide whether a fetus should live or die. I know this might sound childish and cliche but what if you were aborted? I mean of course you would not give a shit but just imagine denying a child all the rights and experiences humanity has to offer.

What if I were? I wouldn't know or be here. If I had the choice to be aborted or may my parents life harder and worse by birthing me, I'd hang myself with the umbilical cord. You cannot say that it's mother has no choice, you are some dude on the net. You don't mean anything.
