I'm sorry alcoholicpoet I didn't get your point. Could you elaborate?

Science seems to have been the focus for the last couple of pages when science has nothing to do with it, if you believe whole heartedly that the fetus would feel pain in the abortion then don't to it, if you want to have an abortion then go ahead, it's their bussienes, not yours.

That doesn't work, AP.

These people are all for "These are my beliefs, you can't change them." But when it comes into the other side, they think it's ok to go and change someone's mind, or try to.

It's hypocricy.

Both Bardock42 & Alpha Centauri should read my first post on this thread. You are reading into what I said and adding your own thoughts.

I degree, it is a responsibility of all of us.

I didn't respond to your ideas but to your post just so that there is a resonce to your post which could or could not be taken wrong.
I don't need to know what you said originally to eb able to respond to a post, and I didn't read anything into it I tried to show my opinion opposing to what you said.

Why?

No, no it's not.

It's the responsibility of the woman and if anyone else, her partner.

No one outside of that has any say in it. Because it's none of their business. That's an actual fact.

It's a fact that what happens between me and my girlfriend has nothing to do with you. Same applies to anyone else.

How exactly? If it's a matter of living cells, then, as AC said before, it's just like cutting a blade of grass.

.

Because I did volunteer work in a clinic....and have read all the medical documentation.

More pain then a just born child...because it's nerve endings aren't as well developed and protected by fatty tissue.

this is really not against you, but I had to respond to what was said in your post. You understand that, don't you. Nothing personal.

Yes, you are talking about the personal world, I'm talking about the big picture, as a society how do we want to see this happen or not.

Don't have a link sorry....this was literature I read on paper some time ago...besides watching CNN when they were debating partial birth abortion in which a nurse testified about what she had witnessed when she took part in the procedures.......sorry I don't have a link...It was before I had a pc.

Please take a minute and go back and read what I first said.

Everyone can't agree, so, we should just live our lives by our opinions and beliefs, and allow someone else to do the same, not everyone can have the same feeling on one subject, then we'd be just like Communist China.

With abortion, you can't speak for society.

Because unless you noticed, society is made up of many people with many opinions. There is never going to be one societal voice on such a subject. So it has to be an individual picture.

Guess what that picture is?

That picture would be....that it's nobody's business other than the woman involved and her partner (maybe). Nobody else has any say in the matter. Fact.

Don't debate with your monitor, because that's a fact. I have no say on what you and your girlfriend do, I can express my opinion, sure. Like you can to me, but I have no right to actively interject myself into your personal business. As you don't to me, or anyone else.

This is one of those real life questions that is not black and white. I said "No". However, I believe that the power behind laws belongs to the people and we entrust some of this power to the government. Abortion is one of those no win scenarios, and the government will not administer the power correctly. It should not be illegal.

Ok found it...just took a while.

Well partly you are right it shouldn't be illegal, I don't see it as a blacjk and white issue, though.

I see it as a nosy people that think their "ideologie is the best against freedom" issue

Still in the posts following your first you revealed a different opinion, if you meant it or not that was what your posts seemed like.

Yes, I have strong, mixed feels about this. I agree with some things on one side and with some things on the otherside. What am I to do? I see that we can come to am agreement, but I don't know what it should be.

Hmm well the thing is I ,and I guess AC and AP either, can't really move from my opinion.....I believe it is the right of everyone to decide for themselves.....at least with your own body you should be able to do what you want...some sort of freedom in this rather unfree world.
