My belief indeed goes beyond Roe v Wade. I personally do not feel whether or not the fetus is alive is relevent at all. The courts limit abortion on the basis of the fact that the fetus potentially has a life er go a right to life.
To me, the whole abortion issue is about rights. This is almost solely the reason I am pro-choice. I actually do not condone abortion, especially when used as birth control. However, I feel the government oversteps its boundaries when it actually places limitations on the right itself. The government has abused its power before but corrected it, like when it legalized sodomy. I feel this is another one of those times the courts need to reevaulate existing laws and the constitutionality of said laws.
