I'm all for legalizing drugs. Making something illegal obviously doesn't work - does it? Instead banning drugs have made mafias and cocaine-bosses and created crime in its wake.
I'd much rather spend the money on finding out why people suddenly decide to poison themselves half to death - and beyond.
Not all drugs are illegal, btw. Alcohol isn't, nicotine isn't, caffeine isn't.
So ANYTHING that is bad for you has not been banned. And abortions do not kill you.

Omega, I think you need to reread my post before you make a judgment call. I was pointing out that people who claim abortion is murder are saying abortion = murder. However, in the same breath they say that abortion is somehow justified in certain situations. Well, murder is never justified in the same sense, so it's a ridiculous comparison. Hence, calling abortion murder is silly.
And I HAVE read a few pages of the thread to get the "mood"; I posted something like ten or twelve pages ago. But I'm not going to browse three hundred pages just to appease people who have been here since the beginning. And I never assumed that no one had ever thought of that or covered it; as I said before, I had the thought and I posted it to see if people identified with it, and we could oh... you know... SPARK A DISCUSSION. Which, last I checked, was what this forum was for. If you've concluded this argument on your own, then so be it. Don't piss in the pool for the newcomers, okay? Thanks.
