No comprende?

I really don't know why this thread has gone on for 564 pages. It's just the same recycled crap every 30 pages. I honestly can't see why abortion is a big enough issue to warrant this much shit to be written about it. Abortion only effects the people who are having it done, if you're against it; never have it done. SIMPLE AS THAT!

Don't ban or protest something that doesn't effect you just because you have the right to. Especially when the thing is helping vast numbers of couples and women.

Then be prepared for it . Deal with it like a responsible person dont just kill it or hand the kid off to someone else.

Why should a child be born to a woman or a couple who doesnt want it? Responsibly, the woman can abort her pregnancy and move on.

Deja Vu.

Responsibly? On the contrary, it is a lack of responsibility. Contraceptives are not 100% working, and pregnancy is always a risk. That is the way it is. Just because we can get away with it, doesnt mean its right. It only leads to further irresponsibility. In my mind that is even worse than abortion because it can lead to any kind of problems, not only for a person, but everyone they affect.

Exactly, in your mind. You have no right to tell other people how to live, or dictate what is right or wrong for them. What further irresponsibility does it lead to exactly, stealing cars?

again... Why should a child be born to a woman or a couple who doesnt want it?

You only responded to my "responsibly" remark. Which I still stand correct on since abortion is legal. In my opinion it is a responsible option for the woman to make if she sees fit. Just because you dont think its morally right doesnt make it irresponsible. It does not directly effect you and its none of your business.

Why should a child be born if it is already in the process of being made? At that point it shouldnt matter if they want it or not. Its time for them to face up to the facts of life.

Technology shouldnt be used the way it is in this case.

Sure. Lets go with cars.

And you're here to dictate how technology should or should not be used I take it. Luddite. 313

So you would rather a child be born to someone who couldnt care for it emotionally or physically like it needs to be taken care of?

Abortion isnt hiding from the facts of life. Its another means of facing facts.

A very bad means. There are many misguided people in the world who are mentally unable to care for a child, and that probably means they cannot care for a spouse either. WHich means whatever relationship put them into the situation is probably false.

So people have to be married, to have children in your regime as well?

Another reason Im glad abortion is legal. What if someone with mental disabilities had sex and got pregnant and because they knew they couldnt care for it wanted to abort... I think its their right to choose that as an option.

...how much of a mental disability are we talking about...? If they can live on their own they can probably handle it along with their spouse. If they can't then they probably live with their parents and wouldnt be in the situation or could get a relative to help.

If you're worried about the child haing inherited the disabilities, thats genetics, which is an entirely different story and not part of this argument. I hope thats not it at least.

Why should the parents of the .... possible parent take care of that child. That is certainly not their responsibility in any way.

On?

Whether they forced their child to have sex?

I said, only if they were living together. I dont know why this scenario even came up. In the event a mentaly disabled person is going to have a child, shes probably living with her parents anyways, but I dont know why this would be happening in the first place.

on many factors. Age is the main factor. If the woman is in her 20's, well duh, the parents are not obligated. But if she is in her teens, then yeah, I would say they are obligated. If not obligated, then it should be expected of them until the girl comes of age and can handle the financial part.

But they don't have to. Why should they? They didn't have the sex. I mean, it is even hard to make a case for the obligation of the mother to keep it, the parents of her should really have nothing to do with it.
