Baby: a very young child (birth to 1 year) who has not yet begun to walk or talk. wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn.

Foetus: The term used for an embryo after the eighth week of development until birth. www.hfea.gov.uk/Glossary

Now go and look it up in the original Websters dictionary....

Which are definitions not proof. Thats simply how the words are used and it doesn't mean the boundary cannot be quibbled over unceasingly.

Yes, definitions and word usage always changes and also does from dictionary to dictionary.

Okay, here's a task. Throw out the word fetus and replace it with baby, then go on debating. It's no problem with me. But I don't think anyone would do it.

Fair enough, you call it a baby then and I'll call it an adult with an eating disorder.

Which you have every right to do (people would likely find it odd though)

It's a dare. Can anyone do it?

I may well give it a go at my local surgery, and see how long it takes me to get sectioned.

Amusing.

Or evading.

No, he's making a point about how people need to agree on definitions of word in order to communicate in any meaningful way.

Or maybe he just snapped 😑

Exactly. (Not the snapped part).

😂

And I think it was Shakespeare that said "A rose called by any other name is still a rose."

Yes, it was, and no, he didn't say it he wrote it.

Plus, it was about forbidden love, not different definitions.

English people........hahahaha

Debbie thinks her opinion overrides science and fact, leave her be. She isn't to be taken seriously.

My point still stands, you don't believe dogs should be banned because owners misuse either the right to own them or are idiots when raising them, right? You do not believe your right to own a dog, as a dog lover and carer, should be restricted on account of idiots, do you?

I assume yes, based on other dog threads.

So why, then, do you feel abortion should be illegal cos idiots misuse them? It's not everyone else's fault. Furthermore, it's quite out of order basing the whole bias on your one-off, personal trauma.

In addition to all that, you said it's a violation of the womb. So stop your own womb being violated and let women do as they wish with theirs.

What's your take on that?

I see where you are going and I RESPECT you opinion so how come you can't do the same for mine? You have done nothing but attack everything I think, Yes I AM closed minded when it comes to some things Ex: Abortion. I accept that your pro-choice and I'm NOT trying to change your views but at every turn you are being a cynical ******* towards me and MY believes Or my opinions.
