i love this public sewing circle of mutual suckups and hypocrites, who preach peace, love, and understanding (while ironically ganging up on particular members) and then moving on to the next thread to dish out insults and drama. ahh the internet. serious ****ing business!

Word blocking is weird enough as it is.

"B*tch.", "F*ck.". As if there's doubt to what those words are.

Not really -AC I was talking about generalising about an individuals intelligence based on any one thing as we have so many kinds of intelligence. Like kinesthetic, emotional, spatial etc. Most people are stronger in one area than another.

I get what you are saying.

If I call someone's beliefs stupid it doesn't mean I think they are a generally stupid person, just in that area.

If I feel they are a generally stupid person I'll say so. If they have the right to go around and preach their beliefs and give off a stupid vibe, why should people be berated for calling them out?

Wrap yourself in wool, follow others in wool and then complain that you're being called a sheep? I think not.

Well I get what you're saying. I will say I think people look to much for the negatives in others these days rather than the positives and it is that which in part has led to the dysfunctional world we live in. I often think opinions about others are best kept private the old adage "if you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all springs to mind". That's just my opinion though.

Yeah, I think that's just rubbish to be honest.

Freedom of speech and all that. Some people can't say anything nice, but they're allowed to say it, so ultimately you want a world where everyone says anything that's nice. Not ever going to happen.

Bin Laden has a set of beliefs that I personally think are stupid among other things. Should I not say that? Should I respect his beliefs?

Yeah, I think that opinion's stupid, and I delight in the fact that I have every right to think and say so.

If I think someones opinion is stupid, I'm going to tell them that. I see absolutely no reason not to.

Bitch and fuck, right?

No.

Diabolical and productivity.

If it's so offensive that it shouldn't be seen on your screen, then it should be a word that's blocked, should it not?

I myself have no problem at all with the word 'Dick'.

I do however, understand that some people may find it offensive themselves, and that my friend is why it's always a good rule of thumb to have respect for what other people may or may not see in one of your posts.

For instance, you could easily say that you simply don't agree with his oppinion. But you choose to say that "Your oppinion is stupid".

Thats technically flaimbait.

A.) I didn't post the word 'Dick'.

B.) I wholeheartedly respect that people can take offense to anything they want to, however, I do not respect utter hypocrisy.

C.) If I was going to post that someones opinion is stupid, I wouldn't spell it the way you have.

Okay, you said 'Prick'

Same difference.

Hypocricy?

I've never openly flamed anyone and every time I've posted something that may be offensive, i've made sure the correct context was used.

You've outright called someone a prick, that cannot be misconstrued as anything else bar what you had intended, and thats insult someone.

So you'd outright call someone's oppinion stupid because you think it is, and that makes it alright?

Why is it not ok to call someone's opinion (One P) stupid?

Let's answer THAT question.

You're not attacking them, just their opinion. So why is that wrong?

I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about the original complainer, you just jumped on the band wagon.

Yes I called him a prick, because that is what I think he is, I will not hold back because people like you like to have some feeling of worth and authority. Which you put into practice by complaining about one word, post after post, drawing out the whole affair, with a petty moral high ground about 'feelings'.

Yes, I have and will say that about people's opinions*. I see nothing wrong with that, I'm just voicing my own opinion.

I didn't jump on any band wagon... I have my own sense of morals that I am voicing all by my lonsome.

Worth and authority? Drawing out the argument? Petty moral high ground?

My friend, thats three very heafty leaps of faith and assumption.

You do realise that member bashing is against the rules reguardless of weather or not the words are filtered... I'm not doing this based on my own moral standards, but simply because it's against the rules.

If you have a problem with me not wanting to see poeople getting banned because of naivety, thats more your problem than mine.

Having a say about the opinion itself is fine, calling the person who has that opinion a Prick is not.

What's with the rabid inability to spell "Opinion"?

And this also:

"Why is it not ok to call someone's opinion (One P) stupid?".

Alpha... he called the guy a prick, thats not attacking the guys oppinion, but the guy himself.

I edited myself to catch that, chill.

Wait, stop.

Why can't you spell opinion? It's not Oppinion or Oppinuon. Simple word to spell, but anyway.

Secondly, you said this: "So you'd outright call someone's oppinion stupid because you think it is, and that makes it alright?".

Why is it NOT alright to call someone's opinion stupid because you think it is?

If you don't like it, report me. I don't want to have to read any more pompous little attempts, for me to see the side that one word has caused great damage.

It wasn't xyz's opinion that I called stupid, perhaps you should actually memorise what you're kicking off about...
