If someone works in the music industry, their opinion of how it works is quite clearly more valid than someone else's who doesn't. Greater knowledge affords us a more valid opinion on certain things.

It's entirely fine to call someone's opinion stupid if that's what you view it as, it doesn't imply anything more or less than "I think your opinion is stupid.". If they said "It's wrong.", and it's an opinion-based debate, then you'd have a point.

Right now, you don't.

Your stating situational change to validate someone as wether or not they are stupid?

The guy outright called him a prick... called his oppinions stupid, and more often than not, on here in KMC, that constitutes bashing.

What other meaning does saying "Your Opinion is Stupid" possibly have? He didn't say "I think your opinion is stupid" either, he outright stated it as fact. I'm sorry, but thats false and very immature.

I mean to say, I don't think anyone I've ever met would simplify the issue in such a way as to say "I am for" or "I am against" the question of abortion - well, I could see someone saying the latter, but not the former. The way the question is worded, it seems to, IMHO, imply that there is only one right answer or that a person can only have a certain point-of-view regarding the issue and not be divided, based on the situation.

The issue is; is it ok to say someone's OPINION is stupid? The answer is yes. Saying someone is GENERALLY a stupid person because of a specific opinion isn't something I'd do unless I honestly thought they were genuinely stupid.

Do you not see the difference? Calling a person's opinion stupid and calling a PERSON stupid are different.

I'm not trying to, there's no more subject to discuss, you were wrong. Saying someone's opinion is stupid is different to saying THEY are, and it's nothing more than an opinion on an opinion. No flamebaiting about it.

There's no excuse for spelling wrong if you know the word is spelled differently. I spell it "colour" cos that's how it's spelled.
