Abortion

Is the Pill the only solution? Certainly, not. Even thought I highly aproved it for certain cases. There is a BETTER method than Abortion to stop an unwanted pregnancy. What is my alternative to using the Pill? Is called Natural Family Planning (NFP)

The natural family planning is safe, healthy and effective and it’s also inexpensive. A woman observes and records changes in her basal body temperature, the normal flow of cervical mucus, and if she wishes, the physical changes in the cervix itself. She then cross-checks these signs of fertility to follow, day by day, the natural course of her fertility cycle. No drugs, no devices, no surgical procedures, no threat of death, no side effects, no chemical abortions!

ye my mum did that and conceived 3 children during "safe times".... so i think i'll give that one a miss.

The tragic aspect of death does not lie in some general notion of "life." The tragedy of death is that a sentient mind no longer has the ability to experience its consciousness. A fetus and its predecessors do not have a conscious mind, and true sentience will not begin in any time period when these clusters of cells are being aborted.

The right to life comes from our right, as sentient beings, to exercise our free thought and self-awareness. Abortion does not impede this right.

You people SHOULD really stick to the topic and not baffle yourselves with other members that don't make sense! Seriously take YOUR ranting and personal comments SOMEWHERE ELSE! This topic is for people that want to be inform and discuss Abortion. Don't interrupt the arguments with your pointless rants to each other! 😒

Okay, let's look at it this way. This thread is over 70 pages long. Do you think you're going to say anything that hasn't been said already? I doubt it. As for personal rants and arguments, if you're not involved...then stay out of it.

Being informed? You've been shown another side to the argument. Have you changed your mind about anything? Did you enter this thread with the intention of changing your mind about anything? No

Besides, after 70 pages, there's nothing left to do but attack each other...or repeat ourselves.

I am only in support of abourtion if its rape of the mothers life is in danger besides that Im against it.

I don't care if it is a 1000 pages long! New people come in to read and learn more about abortion and when you guys go around picking on each other for pointless reasons the thread gets derailed! And if you go around attacking each other you most likely will be reported for bashing each other! Can you people AVOID getting personal with each other? Is it really that hard!?!?

And this is NOT about changing anyone's mind. Is about provinding insights into the topic of Abortion. Everything has been said? Probably yes! What I'm trying to get into is the more details of abortion. So if you only care about ranting on each other DO please go SOMEWHERE else. Some of us still want to participate in this thread, but everything we come to this thread we find posts that don't have ANYTHING to do with the topic of abortion. Now, come on! is it really asking too much to ask you people to just STOP it with the fights?

ONLY the mother?

This brings me back to Fever_red and the posts on male responsibility/irresponsibility in regards to abortions. A child doesn’t suddenly, spontaneously appear inside a woman…

i'm not sure about it. anyway the law is different now. but they want to make it fully legal, in every case whithout even telling reasons, and that would be just wrong.

and i agree that it is unfair to just point at girl when she gets pregnant. (if it is what you meant by that resposibility part😬)

Why do you automatically assume they are doing it without being properly informed? What if they are and they still want it?

Stop being so selfish people. Seriously, it's disgraceful. People misuse motorcycles, cars, sporting equipment and kitchen utensils but banning them is rather ridiculous on account of alot of morons isn't it? People WILL abuse abortions and that's inconsiderate but in all honesty, what are ya gonna do? Not fair to penalise the world for the idiots.

You probably be surprise to know that a certain amount of women that have an abortion did NOT have a Sexual Orientation. That is not to say that they are ignorant. Males also don't get a sexual orientation and that is also a problem. Both sexes should receive PROPER information about sex. Sexual Orientation is very important for ANY couple that practice sex. People have sex irresponsible and I'am not saying that they shouldn't have sex. What I'm saying is that certain people SHOULD really stop for a moment and reconsider about using protection. Especially males! We are the ones that have to be responsible before having sex. It doesn't take more than a minute to strap a codom. Also don't be cheap! Buy the ones that cost a little more because the cheaper condoms DO tend to break.

Let's see.

Perspective 1: Abortion is wrong, the bible says that all life is sacred. We should never terminate a pregnancy because it is a growing human life and Jesus says that all life is precious. Since we can't really figure out the exact moment the baby becomes conscious, we should ban all abortion! Besides, use a condom(unless you're catholic) or the pill(unless you're catholic). If the mother's life in in danger, then that's likely god telling us that the pregnancy might be bad, so then you can kill it. Or if the mother was raped, then god had nothing to do with it and the baby is the result of satan and must be destroyed for that reason alone.

Perspective 2: I'm not really into the bible, but I believe that human life is sacred for my own reasons. Besides, look how many people out there want children. Why terminate a perfectly innocent sub life when it can grow and be adopted and raised in a loving home by parents that want to take care of it?

Perspective 3: Abortion is up to the mother. (and father in some cases) It's her(their) choice. Maybe she(they) don't feel that she(they) can handle the pregnancy or she(they) simply don't want a child. In any case, we aren't really sure when life starts, so it's not really important.

Perspective 4: It doesn't matter when life starts, there are too many people out here now sucking on mother natures ***! One less mouth to feed isn't going to be a big deal until we can learn to take care of the people we have to deal with right now.

Realistically, I'm always going to argue perspective 3. But, in reality, I agree with perspective 4.

I don't think I understand your use of the term "orientation", when you say orientation, are you talking about like 'education'? Like, freshman orientation your first week of college?

Right, I'm not explaining myself properly. My point is about Sex education in school. Like when you were in High School and took clases like Health. As an example would be High school drop outs. I don't have a graph which shows the numbers. But it has been pointed out that a certain amount of High School drop outs did not even take a Sex Education causing them to have unwanted pregnancies. Most assume that using a codom is enough to avoid a pregnancy, and that's not the case a condom isn't safe all the time. And like I mention before not having a proper education on sexual education doesn't mean that they are ignorant or clueless is just that they aren't properly inform.

I can agree somewhat. I'm sure a more informed person would make a desciosion based on what they've learned, but I don't think it will prevent unwanted pregnancies. It's not just highschoolers out there getting abortions. It's grown adult women too. Women who should know better than to have unprotected sex. Let's not discount STD's, but I think a baby would be a pretty big wake up call too.

I don't think learing about that sort of thing in school helped anything and also some schools now have daycares so the highschool kids who have babies can put them there.
THis to me seen to be bad because it is encougaing kids that even if they had babies it is ok because they have somewhere to put them.Do you get what I am talking about?HIghschool has gone down hill for that sort of thing.
It is now a mess.jm

Babydaycares in Colleges not in High School Jackie. Certain High Schools are under budgets so low that they barely can afford books for students. The School Education System should really push the State government to give more money for schools. But that is a debate for another time. This deals with the Sexual education in schools.

Jackie, i am confuse aslo.

I want to collage & have degre in nursng and dnt no wht foetus is ether....

(typos courtesy of my dying to be like my hero JM)

I'm going to go on the record here and state once and for all that Jackie Malfoy is a sham.

I truly believe that this "Jackie Malfoy" is really just some punk who is going around from board to board, acting like a 14 year old, and tricking hapless victims into inane, pointless threads that ultimately have no meaning and leave "her" victims in mental shambles trying to decipher "her" dreadful mangling of the English language.

Not even a 14 year old would type and spell THIS badly. I say we ALL put "Jackie Malfoy" on our ignore list.

corn

very true, Corn, but it is nice to have a common enemy, isn't it? hehehehe
