You said "There are things to make sure you don't get pregnant." Which is implying that it's the woman's resposibility to make sure that she doesn't get pregnant, which seems to be an attitude that several of the guys in this thread have shared. But a baby doesn't just appear in the girl's womb spontaneously (Fever_Red, one day I'll test out that sleeping on the couch theory 😂 ), the guy helps.
PR > I didn't say ALL the guys on there have shared this opinion, and I never said it should only be the guy's responsibility to be sure they use birth control. I agree that the responsibility should be equal. The "make sure you don't get pregnant" bit DOES insinuate that, though...but you must excuse the fact that it's 1:30 am at the moment and I'm very tired. I may just be reading too much into things right now.
So, Jodo, what are your views on abortion if the couple uses protection properly yet it still fails, and they don't want/aren't ready for a child, or would be unable to raise it?

I'm going back to what I say about this all the time:
If the next 'Hitler' rapes a girl, the world would be even more f*cked if that baby saw the light of day. It would be safer to abort it then subdue the world to anymore chance of getting f*cked, or at least the United States. Any a$$hole who rapes a girl (in my opinion, of course I'll be attacked 🙄 ) should get thrown in jail, and HE should be raped in prison, that way he learns a thing or two about rape. So I feel, any date rape, or any rape period, since usually the guy is an a$$hole and the world is already full of them (I'll be attacked once again, but I say this once at least everyday) then the baby should be aborted because I'll be damned if the baby of a b!tch and an a$$hole is gonna be picking on my son/daughter in the damn sand box, and me not want my son/daugher to kick sand in the damn bastard's eyes. (My final remark to get me attacked)
Rapists do indeed deserve harsh punishments. Although, and this might seem controversial, evil, and the like are not passed on to children really. If the next Hitler raped a girl, just because he is a terrible creature, it doesn't mean his child is.... there is an old saying about the "Sins of the father shouldn't be visited on the son", or something....

That was just ignorance. There's no correlation between a person being evil and their mother being raped. At all. Your statement would only be true if evil was genetic, which is impossible, because it is abstract, like love.
OK... the rape issue again. Do you have any idea how tiny of a percentage of pregnancies are a result of rape or incest combined? I've said this before, people only bring up rape because in that case the mother is the victim. But the fact of the matter is, the group of people that get pregnant as a result of rape or incest is so small that it is unreasonable to mold our laws around them. We all know abortions aren't there for rape victims, people just like to use that example because it brings sympathy for the woman.
I do feel that in the long run, men are just as responsible for abortions as women. Even if the man didn't want her to get one, he knew the risks of what he was doing from the beginning. But, the choice for abortion lies in the hands of the woman, therefore while talking about abortion I will continue to focus on the woman. She benefits from it more than anyone else.

First of all, your 'Hitler' argument is the dumbest reason I've ever heard to let abortion stand, & I'm pro choice.
Secondly, the rest of your statement is full of hate & venom, It is actually quite repulsive to know that there are people out there with this opinion.
I'd love to respond more harshly, but it seems like you may have a bad experience from which you are basing your argument so I'll not go there.
