WTF are you talking about? Just Earth's EM field has been fatal to Magneto multiple times. In fact Joesph was disintegrated when he absorbed it whole.

But Magneto in AvX casually tapped into the EM fields of multiple planetS at once, to turn around the exact attack that you said would own him… which is how this whole argument started.

He was tapping into the EM fields, not containing them entirely.

When it came to controlling entire electromagnetic spectrum of Earth , Joseph was disintegrated because it was too much power and he was outright stated to be stronger than Magneto.
