I read "Toronto" and thought you talked about something else.
Ah ok. Yeah the Toronto subway stabbing is a recent thing that happened in the news, but if I was riding a subway I'd so it in NYC.
Funny if bear spray is legal in Toronto while pepper spray isn't, that stuff is MUCH harsher then pepper spray.
Unless they have a provision that says you can't use it on humans, only bears, even if the human has a knife.

More and more self defense is becoming illegal.
Forgot how much fun 2016 Prey is.
So I was in this area looking around for a quest marker. I see it's on the third floor, where I haven't been to and can't find a way up. Then I remember I have a "gloo gun" that shoots out a substance that solidifies into these big snowball like things, often used to temporarily immobilize aliens and bash them in with a wrench. I vaguely remember that a stage had these set up as stairs, so decided fo try making my own steps up the wall to the third floor. Three aliens are shooting me the entire time, I make it up and blow them away.
Then I remember I passed what a broken control panel, next to these two indentations in the wall and realised those must be grav lifts designed to hover you up, but my tech repair skill wasn't up to snuff and I didn't realise what the panel was even for.
There's probaby several other ways I could have gotten up there, the game is great as a sandbox with so many ways to approach problems. System Shock 3 essentially.
And by Bethesda, they actually did something great for once that isn't Skyrim.
I watched Space Jam and space Jam a new legacy. Space Jam was still as good as I remember it.
ANL was horrible, the crowd for the game was actually in my opinion the worst part. A bunch of horrible looking cos players playing WB characters. It’s a WB commercial for all their other successful movies and franchises.

Hmm I should re-watch Space Jam.
Was feeling nostalgic, thinking about maybe revisiting Batman TAS or Muppet Treasure Island or something, SJ would fit that bill.
So Ippo teased yet again as coming back. I'll believe it when I see it.
The way the writer is literally spelling out that Sendou's only shot is if Ricardo acts stupid and wants to be him Sendou's style, as the trope goes, has me thinking Sendou has no chance at all. My guess is Miyata will be the true final boss for Ricardo.
Not Ippo, Miyata.
Good news! MY WEIGHT IS UP!! 😱
I worked hard at it, eating carbs like peanut butter and butter toasted ciabatta rolls, deep dish pizza, samplers at Ruby Tuesday witht potatoes and cheese sour cream, and Nashville Hot pretzels. And my dedication finally paid off.
Today at work I thought my belt felt loose and was terrified I lost another 10 lbs that dqy in spite of my efforts, but I am still as heavy now as I was this morning.
Now the watching game begins. I'm still stressing my weight will drop, I don't want that I want it to rise and rise. Then I'll know I'm not ill.

Makaku, we barely knew ya.So I take it there are and always have been TWO connectors?
What do you think, is it a Hushiang thing? The one who carved up Mukaku has his near immortality, while the other did the brainwashing thing?
Theres 2 connectors
Ones the dragon and ones the tiger
Ryuki is the clone of the dragon when is shen wulong, ohma is a clone of the tiger who hasnt been introduced yet
And theres a 99% chance they are either faternal twins or brothers
Came to a realization.
I like my Keurig coffee, but the fact is the sensor they put on the 2.0 models to reject any kcup that doesn't have special tops has to be the pettiest nickle and diming scheme I've ever heard of. It's also so obviously easy to work around everyone except the person who proposed it must have known that, but they did it anyways, and people like me cut off the tops of "official" keurig kcups and stuck them on off brand models, or stuck them in front of the sensor.
This proves businesses succeed in spite of the incompetent people who run it, and not because of genius.
It also helps people like me know full well a Mr. Coffee is infinitely cheaper, but we're so lazy we'll spend 200 bucks on convenience.
So the Momnibus. It's billed as being necessary to save the lives of moms... of color?
Is it ok to say that? People of color I mean? Black moms? I don't even know if I'm being facetious this can be hard to figure..
But anyways, the package says this;
Bill summary: The Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act will:Make critical investments in social determinants of health that influence maternal health outcomes, like housing, transportation, and nutrition.
Provide funding to community-based organizations that are working to improve maternal health outcomes and promote equity.
Comprehensively study the unique maternal health risks facing pregnant and postpartum veterans and support VA maternity care coordination programs.
Grow and diversify the perinatal workforce to ensure that every mom in America receives culturally congruent maternity care and support.
Improve data collection processes and quality measures to better understand the causes of the maternal health crisis in the United States and inform solutions to address it.
Support moms with maternal mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
Improve maternal health care and support for incarcerated moms.
Invest in digital tools like telehealth to improve maternal health outcomes in underserved areas.
Promote innovative payment models to incentivize high-quality maternity care and non-clinical perinatal support.
Invest in federal programs to address the unique risks for and effects of COVID-19 during and after pregnancy and to advance respectful maternity care in future public health emergencies.
Invest in community-based initiatives to reduce levels of and exposure to climate change-related risks for moms and babies.
Promote maternal vaccinations to protect the health and safety of moms and babies.
The bolded part kind of says it all. They don't KNOW why black moms are dying. The bill basically looks like a basket of catch all lifestyle upgrades, in the hopes maybe something helps.
The cynic in me could call it pork barrel spending, and maybe that's all it is. I'm not that far gone that I'd say no to things that actually improve lives though, even if it does jack all for maternity mortality.
I don't care what people think of me, dogs are the ultimate arbiters of who is good and bad. Every dog I met loves me more then their own owners.
Actually forced a rolly polly yellow lab to drag her cute owner over to me while walking down the street, just by glancing at it. She was all apologetic about it too, like it was her fault a dog she probably only outweighs by a quarter pulled her over. 🙂
