So is Gunn's "The Suicide Squad" going to be a part of the new DCU?

It's part of the DCEU

They haven't been able to come up with a name for their cinematic universe since 2013.

That tells you everything you need to know.

It's called the The DC Extended Universe (DCEU)

All the DC live action films starting with Man of Steel up to Shazam 2.

No, Rob.

It's one big mess:

Oooohh.. Samara Weaving for Lois Lane would be excellent.

I hope she gets it.

Supposedly Gunn is screen testing Nicholas Hoult, David Corenswet and Tom Brittney for Clark/Superman.

Emma Mackey, Phoebe Dynevor and Rachel Brosnahan for Lane.

as a big fan of Phoebe's, I hope she gets to play Lois or gets cast in something else for Gunn...

Nothing says rebooting and moving away from the disastrous DCEU than using the director of one its last movies.

IT IS OFFICIAL...

Cprenswet who I know nothing about but will and Rachel Brosnahan are the new Clark and Lois

Seems those two gave Gunn the best blowjobs. Congrats!

He certainly looks the part.

Despite being sick of superhero films, I'm looking forward to this simply because I'm a big Superman fan. Lanterns and the Amazon show also sound interesting. But I don't really care about the rest.

6'4", dark hair, blue eyes. Definitely classic Clark Kent.

Should keep a certain crowd happy.

Yes. Me.

Some people will say that an actor's appearance isn't important and all that matters is that they can act. I disagree. Film is a visual medium and the character's appearance matters. Race swapping a character is a big difference visually. I wouldn't be happy with that, just as I wouldn't be happy if they made Superman ugly or his suit green and white. I want to see mostly faithful adaptations on the characters and stories I know and love. And that's the thing, I only really care if it's about stories/characters I like. If they made Hal Jordan asian or whatever, I really wouldn't care. But if they changed up Superman or Wonder Woman, I wouldn't be pleased.
