Matthew Daniel Johnson admitted to law enforcement officials that he hid a pen-shaped recording device in a toilet paper holder at the bathroom located across the hall from his office at Seventh-day Adventist La Sierra Academy. Johnson, 34, has been in federal custody since October.

Prosecutors said investigators uncovered a video file that showed him adjusting a recording device in another bathroom at a junior high school bible camp, where they say he was working as a chaperone to children attending the camp.

Johnson placed hidden cameras in the boys' bathrooms of both the La Sierra Academy in Riverside and the Junior High School Bible Camp, and captured videos of minor boys using both the toilet and the shower.

When police searched his devices, they found additional videos of minor boys engaged in sexual activity. All of the victims were under the age of 12, with some as young as 3 to 5 years old.

Johnson further admitted to using and employing a minor victim in January 2020 for the purpose of creating a visual depiction of the victim engaging in sexual conduct.

A Yakima pastor was sentenced February 18th to 30 years in prison for making, possessing, and sharing child sexual abuse images. David Roger Franklin, 68, pleaded guilty in October in U.S. District Court to three counts of producing child sexual abuse images and one count each of transporting and possessing child sexual abuse images.

Investigators found that some of the photos were taken with Franklin's cellphone of a 4-to-6-year-old girl he knew. The girl told detectives that Franklin took the photos of her and abused her, and told her that was their "little secret," according to documents filed in court.

Franklin also had images on his computer of adult men sexually abusing young girls, the documents said. He was an Assemblies of God pastor, a chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol, and a leader in the Royal Rangers, which is a Christian scouting-type organization for boys, the documents said.

A Stark and Wayne County pastor is accused of kidnapping and sexually abusing a minor during a camping trip last year in Ashland County.

Reverend Jesse Santos, 59, of the Canton Seventh-day Adventist Church in Plain Township was initially arrested by Stark County sheriff's deputies on February 15th, and held at the jail in lieu of bond for the Ashland County Sheriff's Office where the complaint originated.

Santos faces charges of kidnapping, a first-degree felony; two counts of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony; sexual imposition, a third-degree misdemeanor, and endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor.

The charges allege Santos, who lives in Lake Township, took a 14-year-old girl against her will and had sexual contact with her on September 17th and 18th while camping in Ashland County.

So many of these Christian pedos are older or outright ancient, wasn't one guy close to 90?. They've probably been raping children for decades and got away with it due to people in charge looking the other way.

Less than a year after his wife Mica Miller's suspicious death, Pastor John-Paul Miller of Solid Rock at Market Common in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has been accused of raping a 15-year-old girl more than 25 years ago and sexually assaulting her again in 2023.

The allegations against John-Paul Miller by the woman identified as Jane Doe #1 from Indiana appear in a 43-page lawsuit filed in the Horry County Circuit Court in South Carolina Tuesday.

Named as defendants are Miller, his father Reginald Wayne Miller, and their connected religious organizations: All Nations Cathedral Church, Cathedral Baptist Church of the Grand Strand, and Solid Rock Ministries.

Many of Pastor John-Paul Miller's critics have argued he played a role in his late wife's death, which he has denied. He has not been charged in connection with her death, even after an FBI search of his home last November.

Lucas Timothy Hunt, 25, was arrested Tuesday. According to police, he received a video that showed two underage girls engaged in a sex act. A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led authorities to identify Hunt as a suspect. He was being held at the Randolph County jail on $75,000 secure bond.

According to the Thank You Jesus Mission, Hunt had the idea for the signs when he was a teenager. What began as an Easter celebration in 2016 grew into an industry with over 250,000 signs, magnets, flags, and bracelets sold to benefit Christian non-profits.

Law enforcement officials have arrested a 64-year-old pastor at a church in Trenton, New Jersey on charges of sexually molested a teen.

According to police, Charles B. Brinson, pastor of the Brinson Memorial Church on Brinson Avenue in Trenton, has been arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child following separate incidents that happened earlier this year.

Police officials said they were contacted by the 16-year-old victim who claimed that on separate occasions in January and February of this year, while at Brinson's home, the pastor "administered an unknown substance" that made the victim lose consciousness.

In 2008, Brinson picked up another 15-year-old in Philadelphia, and drove that victim to his home in Florence, Burlington County.

Andrew Apple, a youth pastor at a Northwest Arkansas church, is accused of sexually abusing at least two underage victims over several years, according to court documents.

The first victim, whose identity was redacted, reported that the abuse started when they were around 13 years old, while volunteering with Apple at the church.

When interviewed by police, Apple reportedly admitted to some of the accusations and having "a sexual relationship" with the second victim since they were 13 years old, according to a probable cause affidavit.

A resident of Glenwillard, Pennsylvania has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on a charge of possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor, Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced today. The one-count Indictment named Aidan Harding, 20, as the sole defendant.

According to the Indictment and other information presented to the Court, on or about December 11th 2024, Harding possessed material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor, including videos containing the sexual abuse of prepubescent minors.

On January 27th 2025, Harding was charged by criminal complaint and, at a February 12th 2025 detention hearing, ordered to be held without bond pending trial after the United States introduced evidence that Harding committed the charged offense and possessed additional materials depicting violent sexual assaults.

In addition, in support of its contention that Harding presented an unacceptable danger to the community, the United States presented testimony and documentary evidence that Harding adhered to a racially-motivated violent extremist ideology, possessed more than 20 firearms, had targeted Pittsburgh's Jewish community with antisemitic fliers, and made statements online about his interest in "political and revenge driven" mass casualty events, including references to the shooter who murdered 11 congregants at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

The evidence also established that Harding, who had been previously adjudicated delinquent for terroristic threats after discussing online his desire to commit a "high kill count" attack, possessed videos of mass shootings from the United States and other countries, and had filmed himself re-enacting the Columbine mass shooting at a memorial honoring the victims of that attack.

The 23rd Judicial District Attorney's Office says a jury has found a Highlands Ranch minister guilty of sexually assaulting his own daughter.

According to the D.A.'s office, Richard Merskin, 42, was convicted of sexual assault on a child under the age of 15 by a person in a position of trust. Prosecutors said the assaults were a pattern of abuse.

According to the district attorney's office, Merskin is a minister with The River in Highlands Ranch. Officials say sentencing will take place on May 16th. Merskin faces a minimum of 8 years in prison and a maximum of 48 to life.

A youth pastor charged with more than 30 felonies for sexually abusing children will stay in jail.

Washtenaw County District Court Judge J. Cedric Simpson denied Zachary Joseph Radcliff's bond after hearing from prosecutors how the 29-year-old temporarily fled to Virginia during the ongoing investigation and repeatedly contacted a victim who came forward, and told him to "shut up."

This means, absent another ruling, Radcliff will stay in jail until his case concludes. Simpson made the decision in a Thursday, January 30th hearing. Radcliff's attorney, Grand Rapids-based James A. Thomas, asked Simpson to reduce his client's bond to $10,000.

A church leader will stand trial on 60 charges related to sexual abuse after a Washtenaw County judge added 30 more counts based on preliminary testimony. Supporters of the eight men and one boy who testified against Zachary Radcliff, 29, could be heard crying in the courtroom as Judge J. Cedric Simpson read off the additional charges.

Simpson added nine counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and 21 counts of child sexually abusive activity to an already lengthy criminal complaint.

Radcliff will stand trial on 17 charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, 28 counts of child sexually abusive activity, seven counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, and seven counts of using a computer to commit a crime. If convicted, he is facing up to life in prison.
