Darth Maul vs Captain America (MCU)

Who wins?

Since you put zero thought or stipulations into these matches, I am going to say that this is a checkers match between Cap and Maul, Cap wins due to his superior knowledge of the game.

maul force chokes.

Maul wins with his light saber after using the Force to take the shield.

What he said.

How can Cap win this?

Cap throws his shield, Maul catches it and bonks him in the head with it. /fight

Cap can't counter the force.

Spite.

Bane

As if Darth Maul was so impressive in the Phantom Menace..

Animation feats dont count.

Strictly from Phantom Menace and Cap has a small shot, though it's not a good catchup for him.

He fought and killed one of the best warriors in the Jedi Order the most skilled Padawans at the same time. Also he has the Force and no matter how hard Cap throws his shield, it wouldn't be hard to catch it mid-flight.

The Jedi only showed minor telekinesis, some persuasion telepathy and besides that just very skilled at fighting with a lil enhanced physical abilities.

So Cap gets all his MCU feats but you're limiting Maul to TPM even though his other cartoon appearances are all canon?

And even then, Cap can't defeat the Force and you know it. Maul will predict his moves and his shield is worthless once he throws it. He can only last ao long against a lightsaber.

A dying Yoda easily lifted an X-Wing. Sidious disabled an entire fleet with his lightning. Vader can choke niggas from across space.

Where's that evidence that maul, an apprentice, was fully trained as a sith?

I saw no force lighting or force choking by him, but maybe I missed something in movie cannon. Anyone care to explain without trying to sneak in EU or cartoons?

The Rule of Two means that even as an Apprentice of Sidious, he was still a fully fledged Sith Lord like Dooku and Vader.

And there's no need to "sneak in" cartoons, Clone Wars/Rebels/etc... is all considered canon. If anything it's actively nerfing Maul to not allow those feats.

Plus Phantom Menace Maul has 15 minutes of screentime, and he's not fighting every single second. Meanwhile Steve has about 4hrs of screentime across 10 movies.

Then why didn't Vader use force lighting? Let me guess: he actually did in some EU book from 1987? Or maybe he just didn't feel like using it because he thought it was cheap and tacky?

Maybe they all had their unique talents and weaknesses. Maybe it was beyond Vader's ability, while the Palpatine family just learns it accidentally.

*edit* Also, has it been confirmed that the movie vs forum respects Disney canon guidelines? I thought it was 'cinema only' in this place

Maul telekinetically pushed Obi Wan into the pit. He can do the same to Cap and his shield
At 0:56 Maul telekinetically sends a piece of debris into the buttons to open the slidinf doors. So yeah, he does use TK in battle

And at 0:53 he kicks Qui Gon down to the floor which keeps him there for some time

And 1:02 sends Obi Wan flying some distance with another kick

1:45 he falls from quite some height and is unharmed

There is also him casually jumping off a speeder
