Laws of physics don't apply in the crossroads. Gravity. Weight. Distance. Space. Time. etc. do not exist there.

Vector WAS pushing back reality, as the scan says.

Reality, however, at the crossroads, is outside the laws of physics, as the scans also explain. Even Hulk couldn't be sure of his own physical durability, let alone his surroundings.

Superman can definitely survive 40mph winds. Keep going.
