Some reasons:
Just like what Kit said, I believe Treebeard was merely referring to the fact that Gandalf and the other Istari only appeared physically on Middle-earth in the Third Age, whereas Ents have been around since the First. The Ent, Fangorn, has seen more of the world than Gandalf.
I dont believe so. As the Ents knew the presence of Tom Bombadil and of the Undying Lands.
2 cents. 😄

Maybe he didn't know about Olorin before (since he's always in Lorien or with Nienna) and he only knew Gandalf once he descended to Middle-earth at the beginning of the Third Age.
Yes. I think It is the better explanation. But only if we assume that Treebeard didnt knew that Gandalf was a Maia. 😑

lok ay my last posthe treats gandalf and oloring as two seperate people.....gandalf is younger than treebeard...as gandalf is the body.....which he only bore for a short time...about an age........olorin is the spirit that inhabits the body
Thats a good explanation if Treebeard knows Gandalf/Olorin is a Maia. So, he talks to Gandalf as he was talking to a common Istari, even Gandalf was in Middle-Earth since the Second Age, his embodiment still is young.
Gandalf Knew Saruman Wanted The One Ring, As Early As The Year 2851?
The White Council.....gandalf sat outside the circle saruman laughed at him....
Gandalf did not laugh again, and he did not answer, but looking keenly at saruman he drew upon his pipe, and sent out a great ring of smoke, with many smaller rings that followed it. Then he put his hand up, as if to grasp them, and they vanished. With that he got up and left Saruman without another word; but saruman stood for some time silent, his face dark with doubt and displeasure
allllso in another narrative of it
It was a strange chance, that being angered by his insolence Gandalf chose this way of showing saruman his suspicion, that desire to posses them had entered his policies and the study of the lore of the rings and of warning him that they would elude him.
