I'm new to this message board but I would just like to say that I LOVED the 5th HP book. It was much darker and more intense. The death of ..........was soooooo sad. I knew that that person was going to die but to have the author reveal it is another story. I also liked how Harry is more of a normal teenager now. He isn't as much of a goody-goody. Hermione and Ron have changed too. However, I was expecting J.K. Rowling to couple up either Ron and Herione or Harry and Hermione. Personally, I want the second option. maybe she will do that in the 6th book. I mean, she had Hermione have a fight with Ron at the end of the 4th book but she has Hermione kiss Harry on the cheek at the station before Harry goes with the Dursleys for the summer. And then we see Hermione kiss Ron on the cheek in the 5th book. Who does she like anyway? I'm confused! There are so many things I would like to discuss but it's like 11:03 right now and I gotta go to sleep but I will be back tomorrow. Oh, one more thing, I agree that Lupin and tonks should get together. I really love both characters!
i really liked the book, but i thought that harry had so much self pity in this one i mean everything he did or anyone else did he would always be so negative i mean he may be a teenager and such but like not all of us snap at our friends when they are only trying to help also 😛i think he was kind of rude to some people but still i guess thats how harry is gonna grow up who knows how he'll end up?? 🤨however i also thought the ending was sad 🙁 i hope the next book comes out real soon i cant wait
i thought that was the worst part but i kinda had a hunch it was coming because itll probably make harry stronger and make him hate voldemort even more 😊 i jus didnt like how harry felt about dumbledore im of course talking bout how he had like a hate for him and dumbledore has always been like everything to harry he always lets him off the hook after he breaks all these rules and also takes care of him and watches over him i would think harry would be a little more grateful oh well i still really liked the book 🙂
I disagree that Harry is wallowing in self-pity, although the picture of the old Slytherin headmaster jests about that.
I recall being about as impossible, when I was 15. I was just generally either cranky, thought my parents were stupid and didn’t understand me, or in a completely off-this-world mood.
Normal teen-age stuff. And that Harry almost started hating Dumbledore is understandable. How did you feel at age 15, if your parents treated you like a child? 🙂
I’m 99% sure Sirius is not dead (see the thread on that). Where’s the body? 🙂 And I’m about as certain as that, that Harry will hook up with Hermione at one point. In book 5 she’s starting to loosen up a little, be a bit more rebellious. She’s also the most in-depth girl at the school. Cho has about as much character as my coffee-mug. She’s just pretty.

where the body is, really is not a big deal, I think. I mean, i don't think they've mentioned funeral for witches or wizards either.. correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think they have a kind of graveyard, too.. I mean, if they do, don't u think Harry would want to visit his parents'?
