yeah, lighthearted post, damn the cold hard print.....i've always liked 3po being wiped and not r2....if it was to stop them talking, then they wouldn't need to do r2......both because no one can understand him, and because he's clever enough not to blab....i dunno if i'd trust 3po....i went into what i think about it in a bit more detail a few posts back if you're curious.....

i've wanted r2 to retain his memory since i first heard about the wipe (before ep I came out i think)....it makes perfect sense to me, would work perfectly, but maybe if they wiped him it wouldn't create a plothole, which means i'm at the mercy of lucas on this one....really hope it happens....maybe we should get supershadow to pass it on....

Why did he give him a furious look? They are on a mission to find obi wan but do not want luke to find out the truth. A massive coincedence brought them in the possetion of luke. Obi one must remember them too, but also tries to hide the events from luke.
yeah, this makes it sound like they're both in on the deal....but only due to 3po's "furious look".....and 3po's "furious looks" don't really translate to the big screen very well, do they?....i'm still in for r2 being wiped and not 3po.....i mentioned the humour in r2 being frustrated by 3po being ignorant of what's really going on but insisting that artoo is the one who's lost the plot....this scene is a great example.....i definitely think obi wan recognises them.....thanks for going to the trouble to type all this up jayno.....much appreciated....
