AUGUST 18TH, 2004 - THE SEARCH BEGINS...
Despite rumors, no one has yet been asked to helm the next X-MEN film. According to a source, some guidelines have been worked out on finding the right director for the job. The person in question will either be someone who has worked with Marvel on past movie projects, and is a good story teller with their characters, or it will be someone who has worked with the X-MEN movie producers before, and have a good working relationship with them and have a production team that they have formed over the years. Both Fox and Marvel are working on this from a conservative point of view. They want X3 to maintain the same sense of continuity from X-MEN and X2!

AUGUST 18TH, 2004 - HALLE BERRY COMMENTS ON X3

Halle Berry appears in the latest issue of UK's TOTAL FILM Magazine, where she comments on her future projects and what's in store for the franchise characters she has played in the past (including Storm):

"...after CATWOMAN, I don't know how many of these women I can handle!" X-MEN 3 is up in air, despite early reports that Storm might return with a beefed-up role. Berry sighs. "I have no idea. They haven't come to me, so I honestly don't know where it's at - or if it's even going."

1. Sounds to me like Goyer and Alfred might be in soon.

2. Halle should stay out of X3.

who would replace her then and i think she was doing okay as storm.

She is not a bad Storm but she is just demanding too much because she wants as large a role in X3 as Wolverine did in X2 and thats why she should stay out or just take a smaller role in X3.

who do you think should replace her then, film?

An unknown actress just like an unknown actor played Wolverine.

well, hugh jackman just wasn't well known in the u.s., but he was kind of famous back in australia, where he came from and all...

i've gtg now, be right back in about an hour....later 😮‍💨

Yeah but like I said an unknown as in unknown in the US. But anyway if Halle Berry is not in X3 it will be better for the film because they will save countless millions by replacing her and that way they can use that money for effects and costumes.

^ ...and more characters 😒

Who do you think the effects and costumes I mentioned are meant for?

hmm...can't think of any barely known actresses that could play her...i can think of a few if they made storm younger...

Guess we will have to wait until they officially replace her with someone else. I just hope they have Alfred Gough or Goyer otherwise X3 could fail.

i'm crossing my fingers for a good replacement director and wish the new crew much luck with the casting and story!
