Marvel is gonna go down the toilet now... its DC's time now in movie business.

Marvel still has 2005-07 with these films

Ghost Rider, X-Men 3, Iron Man, Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four, and more

DC had their time in the 80s-90s and they will TRY again, but Marvel has ALOT more franchises to use than DC does. The Spider-Man franchise has already secured them a whole new future in films.

i agree! 😉

Ya but DC during the 80's and 90's only did Batman and Superman thats only 2 superheroes while marvel has done like all the famous heroes... its hard to tell whats gonna happen... but i have a feeling FF is gonna be a flop.

here is some news on X3 from Killer Movies.

A X-Men fan site has got some news, said to be from a 20th Century Fox representative on the state of the X-Men franchise.

The site XMF, have three main things that they reported.
1). There have been rumors amongst the fandom that WOLVERINE may be filmed before X3. FALSE! Finishing the X-MEN trilogy is the top priority of 20th Century Fox, but spin-off films are being developed at the same time. As most know, WOLVERINE and MAGNETO are also in early development.

2). By the producers and studio request, the weather controlling mutant known as Storm (Ororo Munroe) is currently being included in the X3 film screenplay on a provisional basis. The role is being written with the idea that it can easily be switched out for another character under the circumstances that actress, Halle Berry cannot return. Should the actress return, the role will likely be expanded to that equal of the other main cast members, in future drafts of the screenplay. It is also possible that the role could possibly remain small for a cameo appearance. Or could the role be recast? This is still being worked out, and won't conjeal until main cast members are asked to return.

3). The studio is set on getting X3 out for a 2006 release. Even though Avi Arad or Marvel Enterprises has listed a May release date, the month of May has been put in question, so changes in release date are a strong possibility. It all depends on the director and shooting locations. A Winter 2006 release is not even being thought about, so nix that idea.

Actually DC also had the flopped Supergirl and Steel in the 80's and then 90's.

FF is very likely to flop, but MOST of all the other Marvel properties seem likely that they will be box office hits. (Spider-Man 3, X3, etc)

This seems to be the beginning of a war between Marvel and DC/WB.
So far Marvel has the upper hand.

actually the only big hits from marvel are Spiderman franchise and X-men franchise... those two are the biggest... and plus blade thats all.

Actually there was also Daredevil (even though I hated it)

And the Hulk was also a hit, (sequel being planned for 2006-2007)

Production Budget: $137 million--Marketing Costs: $35 million

Domestic Total Gross: $132,177,234--Worldwide: $245,284,946

And the Punisher managed to make back the money that was spent in production. (sequel also being planned for 2006-2007)

Production Budget: $33 million--Marketing Costs: $20 million

Domestic Total Gross: $33,781,011--Worldwide: $54,649,848

DC/WB already has one strike with Catwoman so Marvel is already ahead. WB/DC has already wasted a franchsie while Marvel has yet to do so.

oh ok... coool

Yeah, they might not have been "big" hits, but they have all managed to make back the productions costs (so far) unlike Catowman.

The way I see its,

Batman Vs X-Men

Superman Vs Spider-Man

Those matches will be critical.

Anyway with Whedon backing out of X3, I am curious as to who Fox will choose to helm the film next.

Most likely whedon is gonna get sarah michelle gellar back.

Yeah, but still rumors for now. I hope he doesn't though.

he will most likely.... he turns his back on a company he is writing a comic book for to work with marvels rivals in the comic book industry.

Bryan and Whedon are doing the exact same.

Bryan will be writing Ultimate X-Men for Marvel.

Whedon is writing Astonishing X-Men for Marvel.

Bryan left the X3 production to go direct Superman for DC/WB.

Whedon misguided the fans into believeing he might be directing X3 and then left to direct Wonder Woman for DC/WB.

but i still like his astonishing x-men.

Yeah me too, but he is still a traitor. 😠

i know... just like BS.. lets kill em bryan singer.

Maybe someone should kill their careers instead, that would make them both suffer. 😈

Damn WB/DC and their sneaky dirty under-handed tricks against Marvel. Maybe Marvel should play dirty too. 😮‍💨

no leave joss whedon alone.

ok 🙁

But Singer is mine 😈

ok.
