but if they followed the cartoon version as an idea, wouldn't they run into the problem of too many characters to introduce to a fan base that has no knowledge of the storyline? Wasn't that a huge obsticle they wanted to avoid?

well if they went by with the first comic book.... people would have understood the storyline of x-men.

and even though its a 32 page thing they could have added in like professor x childhood and then they could have shown when both magneto and professor x worked together to help people.....

According to XMenFilms.net, the character of Storm is being included in the X-Men 3 script on a "provisional basis" and under the assumption that an actress can easily replace Oscar winner Halle Berry if she chooses not to return to the role. Berry has said in the past that she would only return if Storm were more prominently featured in the plot. Another possibility is a cameo appearance by the character, according to the fan site.

Meanwhile, rumors that Wolverine (starring Hugh Jackman) would film before X3 are false, the site adds, citing 20th Century Fox sources. Besides a Magneto spin off film, talk has surfaced of Mystique and/or Storm spin-offs as well, the site says.

X-Men 3 is still slated for a 2006 release date, although it may not come out in May. It will definitely come out before Winter 2006, according to the site.

Filming may head to Australia, according to Jackman's personal trainer Michael Ryan, who spoke with the Sydney Star Observer. Read more here.

Anyway X3 opened the door for a possible story involving what you mentioned before with Yuriko being a cyborg this time round.

yes.... and it could lead wolverine to the australian outback where he gets crucified but then jubilee finds and helps him till he gets better.

Possibly and it would be interesting to see on screen.

Something I also want to see in X3 is the Wolverine/Cyclops conflict being further developed especially with Pheonix around now. It wasn't touched on as much as I would have liked it to be in X2.

Maybe in the comics, but there hasn't even been that much in the films.

I want to see that too though.
