... i think joss whedon did not want to do X3 because it was like pracically finished.. i think he wanted to make a film on his own.. not finish of a triligoy done by someone else practically.

Perhpas your right, he probably wanted to display his won vision and style rather than to continue someone else's.

Hey guys, I have read all the info shared on this thread about the possibility of X3 and I honestly can't wait. There was a post on here about the screen in X2 and the list of names on the computer screen. Since I had some free time, I did a little research and would like to share some probably usless info that I have found. This could mean nothing or it could be a glimpse of what Brian Singer was planning for the next X-Movie.

When listing the names on the screen, Here is the complete list shown on camera.

*Braddock, Elizabeth ( Psyloke )
*Callasantos, Maria ( Feral )
*Cassidy ( 2 ) *Sean ( Bansheee ) & *Tom ( Black Tom )
*Cheney, Lila
*Creed, Victor ( Sabretooth )
*Dacota, Roberto ( Sunfire )
*Dane, Lorna ( Polaris )
*Drake, Bobby ( Iceman )
*Dukes, Fred ( The Blob )
*Espinosa, Angelo ( Skin )
*Gibney, Kyle ( Wildchild )
*Guthrie ( 2 ) *Paige ( Husk ) & *Sam ( Cannonball )
*Harada, Keniuchio ( Silver Samurai )
*Kane, Garrison ( No clue whom this one is )
*Lebeau, Remy ( Gambit )
*Lensheir, Eric M. ( Magneto )
*Maddicks, Artie ( Kid with blue tongue in X2, & Generation X )
*Madrox, Jamie ( MUltiple Man )
*Mahn, Xi'an Coy
*Maximoff ( 2 ) *Pietro ( Quicksilver ) & *Wanda ( The Scarlett Witch )
*McTaggart, Kevin ( Proteus )
*Moonstar, Danielle ( Moonstar )
*Monro, Ororo ( Storm )

-Right there was the list I was able to find, If anyone can add to them or find any errors, I'd like to know. Also, I have heard rumors of introducing the Brotherhood in the next flick, If this is true....Then they have given the hint to a few names of the faction. Who knows, This could have been added for geeks like me to make something out of nothing, Ha.

After posting that last entry, I found something else maybe not taken into consideration. When Mystique switched to the second computer and found the files for Cerebro, The were numerous files on the screen. Given the intelligence that Striker had and maybe some were stolen files, He seemed to have way too much information. I never heard of William Striker before the movie so I'm not familiar with his character in the comics but here is a list of files found on the second computer.

*Omega Red
*Katherine "Kitty" Pride
*Xavier's School
*Trask
*Greymalkin
*Zero Tolerance
*Project Wide Awake
*Weapon X
*Brotherhood
*Forge
*Danger Room
*Legacy Virus
*Alpha Flight
*Muir Island
*Morlocks
*Hank McCoy ( Beast )
*Doug Ramsey
*Raven Darkholme ( Mystique )
*Kurt Wagner ( Nightcrawler )
*Mortimer Toynbee ( Toad )

I also found it odd in the movie that Mistique checked out the "Cerebro" File and must not have seen her own on the screen because she ignored it before Lady Deathstrike entered the room.

One final question for you, When Mistique drugged the guard to inject him with "Iron", Did anyone noticed how she resembled the former X-Man known as *Dazzler and introduced herself as Alison?
( * Alison Blaire aka Dazzler )

is Polaris the one with green hair in the 90's cartoons?

yes, In the cartoon was romantically involved with "Iceman", Left Bobby to join X-Factor to be with Havok.

**** 😛

I have a question for those who are sharp on X2. When Magneto was talking to Wolverine about why Xavier never gave Logan all the answers of his past, Magneto mentioned that Striker was the only other man he knew of that could manipulate Adamantium. Does this mean that Magneto had a hand in Weapon X by using his powers? Was Magneto ever known for being involved in any of those experements? I didn't get into the X-Men until the early 90's and have missed tons of the Uncanny adventures so if anyone can shed some light, I would appreciate it.

not that i know of, i think it was just an off the cuff comment...

I think Magneto was just reffering to his own powers, as in the magnetism.

ok they should just do the phoenix saga as the X3 film.. simple as that.

Yeah, but then it wouldn't be the X-Men it would just be Pheonix.

Defying the whole purpose of the title and film.

no no no.... it would so include the xmen.. .they could do the dark phoenix.... trust me have you ever seen the x-men the animated show before???

I have seen it, its my all time favorite comic book based show.

Anyway they got about 5 episodes to tell their story, FOX only gets one movie to fit all of it in. 😉

well 5 episodes equal 2 hours and 30 minutes.. and thats how long a movie is usually.

The first X-Men was 1 hr. 44 min.
X-Men 2 was 2 hrs. 14 min.

I suppose you are right, although the cartoons have mostly action and not as much dialogue and relationships going like a film does. Maybe if they tuned the action down just a little less than the toons, then I suppose it could work.

i think the cartoon show of the dark phoenix had a lot of dialouge.

Yeah, but it takes more effort and time to display it properly on screen.

no trust me.. they could do that as a movie... but as i realize it would not work.
