IGN Filmforce has a follow-up to the news that Beast, Gambit and Angel will appear in X-Men 3.

The site says that Angel will indeed be male, not female as was previously reported, and it will be a major character in the film.

Beast is expected to be seen in his transformed part while Gambit is not expected to be a major character. Cyclops also won't have a big role in the story, the site adds.

Uh... not a major character???? but.... what about big name.......?

Angel will be a guy so stop your whinning sad49 Gambit gonna headline X3 like Nightcrawler headlined X2..so Remy will get a decent amount of screen time...my guess is Angel will have a small role and get a larger on in X4 ...like they did Iceman...remember Bobby got a bit role in the first X flick and was a major player in X2...Collussus..the metal guy and Beast..kinda..where in X2..so they'll get larger roles too....flamethrowingsmiley I hope X3 will be smoking

Gambit gonna have a small role.bonk that sucks.they doing him like Bobby..small role first go around..bigger role next movie appearence..but Guy Angel will have a big role and Scott will have a bit role

yeah...he never became Iceman yet....he's a sham...Iceman turns to ice..that's why the call him iceman hurly if he don't become "iceman I am going to be sick.

YAY! i cannot wait to see gambit. and i do think that he'll have probably same amount of time as nightcrawler did in X2..which isn't too bad but not great. and i Angel better be cool.

i really wish they made iceman into more of the comic version. iceman is not some shy, sensitive guy! he's outgoing, always crackin jokes, he's awesome!!!!! he's sooooooooooo boring and bland in the movie. always serious. and he's prettty much my favorite x-man so im dissapointed, and i know they can't just change his character for the third movie and make him outgoing and stuff, but i wish they would've made him cooler.

Couldn't agree with you more. Iceman is one my favourite x-men too but they really did a number on him in the movies.

Ahh, the movies will probably not be too similar to the comics. Maybe the new director will have them more like the comics but who knows? I hope they do a good Gambit, I am stunned that Angel is going to have more time than Beast and Gambit, because those two are the ones everyone is dying to see, not Angel. Not to mention they were complaining about special affects costs and here we are using Angel more than Gambit! urg.

he he, I think he was trying to have that 'poor little puppy' look! thinks he's so hot! ha ha.

James Marsden to Return for X-Men 3?

Avi Arad and Chris Evans were at Wizard World Los Angeles today promoting the upcoming Fantastic Four release.

As the man behind every single Marvel adaptation we went straight to the source to get the scoop on X-Men 3.

Ever since Singer abandoned the mutants in favor of a pair of blue tights the internet has been buzzing with rumors of threats from the Marvel camp towards any X-Men actor that decides to go work with Singer on Superman Returns. Case in point, James Marsden has been cast as Richard White and was assumed to be out of the X-Men franchise.

However, Avi Arad told the audience at Wizard World today that he hopes to have James Marsden reprise his role as Cyclops in the next installment of the mutant series. Arad says that James Marsden called him and said that he read about this on the internet and said, "what are you doing...I told you I'm in."

So if everything is right in the world with the comic book gods James Marsden will be in two huge blockbuster films in 2006.

If they made Cyce little bit more like he is in the comics James would be great. I blame the writers not the actors..

Its not only Cyce that was "wierd" in the movies. Rouge is a kick-ass in the comics, in the movies she is more like weak type. So is Iceman. Holding back.
