you have a bestfriend(opposite sex), you've known each other for a year. That persons comforts you even not personally or physically is not there but he finds time communicating with you everyday. You both share secrets and exchange advices. You always have brainy arguments and have huge fights for a couple of times. But at the end of the day you have fix the problem and are best buddies again. many person knew you says your bestfriend is inlove with you but you tend to ignore it.

What will you do if its true?

if you are best friends with someone then decide to take it to the next level, to a romantic relationship, odds are that IF things go sour in the romantic relationship, you can NEVER go back to being friends. I speak from experience.

If you appreciate the persons friendship. You do not make your feelings known.

i honestly dont really see the point in taking a vow of silence just to maintain a friendship that's laced with hidden feelings of wanting to be more than just friends. seems like that could be equally harmful to a friendship.

What happens is up to you, there's no authority on relationships, whether they're speaking from experience or not. Not all relationships are the same, neither are all friendships and most importantly neither are all people.
You can't really get advice on such a personal dilemma, and the only good advice would be to do what you feel is best. Oh, and also not to listen to other people's 'horror stories' and try and make them fit into your circumstance.
