5. Obi-Wan's kind of a dick. I get that he always has fairly good reasons for fvcking with people, but if you're a prominent bad guy in the Clone Wars era there is a 100% chance you've fought him and immediately suffered for it, probably with your closest friends or relatives as witnesses, regretting all of your decisions. Darth Maul? Bisected like a motherfvcker.

Haha.. You know when you think about it Maul is the villain and all he did was stab Qui-Gon through the chest. But cutting someone in half, I mean that's just seriously sick.

Anywho, I'm not willing to commit to the idea that he was toying with them at this point. Not only did each of them land blows (once?), but after knocking Savage on his ass, Sidious slackens and appears to give a groan of fatigue.

[...]

Maybe the website will have more to say on it later.

The website has partially updated (though character profiles haven't). Anyway, it says during the duel that Sidious never deviates "from his position of superiority" over the brothers, which confirms he was beating them two-on-one.

Still a little hesitant on toying with them, though upon further review I see where one would get that impression.

Cool fan-made poster.

What can I say, I'm gifted?

You sure are, Lyndon, you sure are.

Lyndon? As in B[ig] Johnson?

Sweet mother of god, Sidious vs. Maul was fun.

I loved the way Sidious seemed to glide around at the start of the fight. He's damn creepy.

Also, subtle things... Jedi lightsabers in the films typically hum at a higher pitch than the Sith's. And in that fight, Sidious was at the deepest pitch... #nerdout

It was all Nerdastic! Apart from Maul begging for mercy. That was crap.

Ok, so I've gotten a new PC and started playing Swtor again. 2 things have thus been illuminated to me.

Firstly, we cannot discount Vitiates domination of the Jedi Strike Team that attacks him in Act II of the Jedi Knight story as them just being kind of shit Jedi, as the loading screen for that Act actually refers to them as 'the galaxies most powerful Jedi.' Kicking the shit out of 4 of the galaxies most powerful Jedi with the Force at the same time is a really ****ing impressive feat.

Secondly, it seems that our good friend Tempest was ill-informed when he said that the Jedi Knight resists the Emperor's domination with only Ordus Din's words of comfort. What actually happens is that he clearly affects you with the Force, causing you to flash blue (an indication of lightside Force usage in Swtor) and fall unconscious. He then appears to you (telepathically?) while you're unconscious to break you free from the Emperor's control. Interestingly, in your mind the Emperor is torturing you, until Ordus comes at least, clearly indicating that he does something. Afterwards Lord Scourge refers to you and Kira as 'special' for having broken the Emperor's domination.

It's hilarious how biased you are. 😬

You have presented nothing that indicates Din is using the Force on you; it could easily be Din's words inspiring you to tap into the [light side of] the Force.

Try harder bro. facepalm

He clearly uses the Force on you. He uses the Force on you, you turn blue and fall asleep. In your mind the Emperor is torturing you, until Ordus comes and then he suddenly isn't anymore, clearly indicating that he does something. If all it took were words, then why did he render you unconscious? He carries on talking to you after you wake up, so he obviously didn't need to do that just to talk to you.

Also, Christ turn it down a little. I wasn't attacking you personally, fool.

YouTube video

7:50 mark: "Free yourself" and "You're stronger than his influence." Unless Orgus Din is simply a psychological manifestation of the Hero of Tython, your argument is finished. excellent

Yes, he says that, and I'm not denying that the Knight does nothing, but that doesn't indicate that Din does not also help you. It is obviously not just you tapping into the lightside because that scene is the same even if you're darkside, as I was. Theres also the fact that he is clearly using the Force on you and that the Emperor disappears after Din shows up. What happened was not a simple plea for a heel-face turn, Din had to knock you unconscious and enter your mind to get you back. We cannot say that it is as simple as a few words because that is not what actually happens. He needed telepathic communication to get through to you, end of story.

No, what's "clearly" shown is that Din shows up, inspires you to use the Force, and free yourself. You cannot say that Din is using the Force on you when that's clearly not what happens.

Otherwise there's nothing really "special" about the Hero, now is there, Neph?

You didn't respond to anything I said, jerk. Ignoring my argument only makes you look like the biased one, not me. It would be pretty stupid for me to be biased one way or the other because either way Vitiate or the Knight look good.

I've already said that the Knight clearly has some hand in it though, so this point is moot.

It's not nice when someone presents an opinion and someone else throws the b-word around, is it? 😬

I enjoy breaking you. excellent

I'm not ignoring your argument. You're speculating, whereas Orgus Din flat out credits the Knight's freedom to the Knight.

"Some hand" lol.

When your argument is bolstered by something other than blue light and gut feelings, let me know.

You're such a b*tch. crackers <3

That phrase is an anagram for "The_Tempest wins this and all other debates with anyone ever and has a dangerously large pecker."

I accept your concession and eternal submission to my glory. uhuh

I bet you already know what my opinion is.

Anyway, I'm glad the fight played out exactly how it did. I watched it at least 5 times already 😮 . I wasn't really surprised that Sidious could easily overpower them with the force or outskill them in sabers (there's a reason Dooku fears him to the extent that he does). What impressed me was his physical strength and how his kicks can floor someone like Savage. Though, I guess I shouldn't be too suprised by that considering his physical strength does come from his tremendous force power.

Also, am I the only one who found it a bit funny when Sidious force pulled Maul and Savage as he was falling?
