Star Wars: Rebels!

Listening to RBR's interview with Filoni, he says that Inquisitors should be able to handle "most Jedi, especially in the time period {OT}" but "probably wouldn't do so well during the Clone War." He says "the very best Inquisitor" is comparable to Ventress, but that "Ventress is probably still more powerful." He adds that that's "just [his] opinion, though."

But any Jedi in the OT would be surviving Jedi from the Clone Wars...so?...Huh? Unless Filoni means against the likes of the named members, not so much your standard/average JK in the PT.

Anyway still thus far, Legends Inquisitors > Canon Inquisitors until Rebels and other material expands on them more.

I'm glad he says it's "just his opinion, though". People shouldn't take what he says as 100% fact when concerning power levels, at least to me, in most cases.

I don't even know what to do with you.

Is it the Best Inquisitor being close to Ventress you have an issue with here, or the bit where he says most Inquisitors are able to take out most Jedi in the OT but hardly any in the PT?

Because if Barriss is an Inquisitor I can imagine her being close to Ventress. So I don't see the issue with either statement personally.

This is what's just confusing to me, any Jedi in the OT would be from the PT would they not?...

So how could he say they wouldn't be able to take out Jedi in the PT if any surviving Jedi would be from the PT in the OT?

Unless he's speaking of actually established named characters and not your average.

I'm guessing because most the competent Jedi were hunted down as priority, so the ones left are mainly nobody's who got lucky, or untrained Jedi like Kanan.

To be fair, Kanan actually spent time honing his skill with a lightsaber (which was noted by the Inquisitor himself), so it's likely that he would be tantamount to a Jedi Knight.

Neither statement I have issue with. I just like that Filoni specifies it's just his opinion, rather than fact, so it's open for debate when the time comes, rather than "Filoni said x, y and z, therefore end of discussion."

FPJ actually says in some interviews he doesn't think Kanan is really Jedi Knight level yet.

So from the sounds of it, the Inquisitor was a bit beyond the level of an average Jedi Knight. Make sense.

That’s not what he said though. He said he can handle "most Jedi, especially in the time period". That would indicate he should be able to defeat most PT Jedi as well just not as thoroughly as the remaining OT Jedi. Presumably, he’d struggle in the PT era because he isn’t powerful enough to take on the high level masters that are running around or to take on multiple knights at once.

Agreed. Although, since it is his character, I do think he has some authority over it.

The bitching about how Vader was portrayed is getting increasingly annoying. He was badass and his appearance was executed perfectly. He was dealing with Kanan & Ezra easily, they gave him no problems at all.
The force push and their resilience in escaping death says otherwise. He was above them but not to the extent I feel he should be. Maybe he will look better in the show later on. Agree to disagree.

My cat is a stone cold killer.

And sometimes she likes to savor the moment, and she plays with a mouse for awhile before killing it.

And sometimes the mouse manages to escape because of this.

This does not change the fact that she is magnitudes more powerful than the mouse and that she is a stone cold killer. In fact, it makes her more so.

I would say anyone who can casually catch a falling/flaming AT-AT and ignore it exploding on his head, is pretty powerful.

And they had to tone him down or else he would have murdered the entire team right then and there and the show would be over.

As for them escaping, The Ghost Crew has proven extremely resourceful so even escaping from Vader by the skin of their teeth isn't impossible.

Especially when ya know, he allowed them to escape to find the Rebel fleet, hence why the shuttle the Ghost crew was on had a tracking device...

That too, lol. It was clear Vader could have destroyed them all easy as he pleased, but they're really showcasing how much of a tactical genius Anakin has always been.

Because he could have just waited until all of them were on that transport and blown it up then.

I never said he isn't powerful I am talking about formidability.

That's a fact and you saying they had to tone him down is ridiculous. Khan from Star Trek Into Darkness had the crew in awe of him and allowed them to take him. The portrayal was set that an armed Khan >>>Klingons, Spock, Kirk, Uhura.

Vader also had troopers at his side. Vader just didn't look anywhere near as impressive as he should against this ragtag bunch. He wasn't even alone as I just pointed out. The ghost crew also outmaneuvered him.

So Quan came to this thread only to prove that yet another person could take down Nu-Khan. Hahahah.

This has nothing to do with NuKhan's superiority over all Star Wars characters in fair combat. This has to do with the episode that clearly didn't portray Vader as high as I thought he was in comparison to noob Jedi.

I AM SO CONFUSED. WHAT THE ****.

IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE BARRISS BUT WHERE ARE HER TATOOS???????????????????????????????????????????
