It is breadcrumbs, in Canada we got $2,000 a month if our income was affected due to Covid.

A one time payment of $1,400 is a slap in the face.

Similar in U.K., and Europe.

The U.S. however is a bit backwards. They dont even get free healthcare for all. Its More like a third world country.

I love seeing the whole taxation is theft argument. It's like the keystone to libertarianism, but I've never seen any of them successfully explain how things like schools, fire departments and infrastructure get funded.

Maybe the ghost of Ayn Rand will know.

She is too busy living off the public dole.

Which is pretty normal.

A third world country with their own space shuttles/stations and moon trips and Mars satellites and drones however, is not normal.

Oh yeah, she was a huge hypocrite.

America has stupid priorities. Guns and court appointed lawyers > education and health care.

But they also tend to believe that they have freedom and no one else does, because rhetoric.

Oh I'm waiting for Biden's second term.

You think he will live that long ?

Yes

I've lived in Canada all my life, but Celsius makes more sense to me. Its weird when its freezing outside, as in below zero, so in celsius it is -1, and in farenheight itd be like "30 degrees." Seems weird.

Wait, was Ayn Rand really another leech off the tax payers?

Nah, we just have the 'bestest' and 'bigiest' freedom because freedom isn't free. 😛

it comes back to the people in the form of aid or protection. In the uk we call it"national insurance" because that's essentially what it is.

If the mafia steals from someone, then uses it to build a school or a daycare or an old folks home, does that make the stealing moral ?

No it's not. Non aggression, free association, and free trade are the quintessential pillars.

Taxation being theft is a logical implication of those three things, and kind of impossible to not see taxation as theft.

Ayn rand isn't a libertarian lmao she's an Objectivist, which is minarchism, which is cucked to me.

The 1.9tril relief isn't just the personal checks, it's a lot more.

The personal checks are not enough though that is true, they weren't enough when it was $600 and it's not enough at the $1,400 now. It is a shame that people like Broly, Surt, SilentMaster and Ethneo are getting them though. But you take the good with the bad.

Put my check into Bitcoin, a decentralizing technology !

Yes lmao on welfare and public housing. Rand was NOT an anarchist and NEVER claimed to be, NOR was she EVER a libertarian.

Guns are good to fend off a corrupted state (which is all of them from my pov).
Court appointed lawyers serve the state and it's flunkies, look at court cases and see how often the victim is actually compensated then weigh that against how much the state is compensated.

You're exactly right about the freedom bit, hence the need for libertarianism.

Any hope of freedom we had was put into a coffin and nailed shut when the federal reserve was illegally created in 1913.

Those all sound like solid ideas there, bro. The market regulates itself when free, which is why America is just chock full of protected workers' rights, non-monopolies, and healthy competition to giants like Wal-Mart, Amazon and co.

Also, Ayn Rand is very popular among Libertarians for her selfish moralism.
