Don't mind the hating.

It a Bioware game... even the sidequests have detailed conversations with the quest givers and npcs along the way with choices in typical bioware fashions, and each class gets its own main story as well.

Edit - Really... I find your comment foolishg and rediculous.

I've never been impressed by any Bioware storylines, and I found the way the story is presented in TOR to be tiresome at best. Some of the dialog was good, but the actual story was bland like Bioware always is.

It sounds like you are a little biased against Bioware, no offence. Almost everyone loves their stories. You saying that Bioware have bland stories is like me saying that GW2 is a bland MMO. Except what you said is worse because GW2 doesn't have the same level of acclaim that Bioware does.

No, not "almost everybody" loves their stories. Claiming such a thing is silly.

They specialize in retelling the same story (which is only okay at best) repeatedly with the only real changes being character names and setting. And considering the fact that TOR is a failure...yeah.

The level of acclaim Bioware has is completely irrelevant.

The vast majority of people who play their games DO love their stories, their games are among the most beloeved for their storytellign qualities. You, pal, are the minority.

Your opinion. TOR is a "failure" because people played the stories, enjoyed them, and elft, because the end game wasnt good enough. Not because the stories werent great.

yes but I have a feeling that If I said that about GW2 you would call me out on how ridiculous it is, and its even worse what you are saying consideirng it.

You can't make statements like that unless you're going to back up your claims.

TOR's failure was a combination of a lack of content (long before endgame), severe imbalance with classes, and the fact that storylines were tied to class requiring people to play classes they may not like for the storyline. The gameplay and the attitudes of the devs were further strikes against it.

Bioware specializes in character development and character interaction. Their stories are heavily character driven in a way that most other developers can't even grasp. The actual plots are secondary.

They do have good characters for the most part (they're also incapable of breaking from using the same tropes constantly), but I really disagree about them having good character interaction. It always feels so awkward and contrived to me.

Does it really need to be backed up lol? The acclaim and fan appreciation for their games and their storylines are off the charts. It's not exactly known for being very divisive either, so I'm willing to guess that the people who love their stories are the vast majority. Outside of the MGS franchise they tell, by far, the bets stories in gaming imo.

I thought as much, but thanks for giving yourself away and confirming it.

Anyway, Halloween stuff! Yay 😄

Agreed, I loved Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Even TOR had its moments too, imo.

Dungeon runs have paid off, as now I have this lovely little item...

Also known as, I got my Ascalon Catacombs Greatsword today 😄

It looks so badass, I love it.

Also I've gotten my guardian nearly to level 50...I'm adapting better to a more supporty style of gameplay. It was troublesome at first but I'm getting better at it.

MMO Grinder review.

So what do they actually have to say about it? I don't watch video reviews.

He talks about Guild Wars 1 (about how he disliked it) then complains about the camera alot, has a few other grips, but over all he enjoys the game.

The camera has issues, but mainly only in really tight quarters (which is thus generally during jump puzzles - which to be fair is a really bad place for it to bug out - and certain areas in certain dungeons). It's not that bad, though it definitely needs work. It's still a lot better than in many games I've played.

Halloweeeeeeeen!

Baby ghost quaggans. WANT.

Just tied some PvP stuff for the first time- interesting how World v World is virtually the same as PvE play, and I'll have to go through all of that for exploration anyway.

Anyway- what I learned was, Retaliation is so-so in general play but freaking hilarious in a PvP match- at least at the lower level of play I assume I was thrown in with. With everyone using whirling or high-speed attacks, activating Retaliation seemed to make them explode.

Reflection skills are also great in WvW, as so many people used ranged weapons and skills. Retaliation is fuuuuuun in there though. As is Confusion, in fact. Reminds me of playing a Mesmer in GW1 JQ and FA and slapping Empathy on Assassins and just dancing as they killed themselves trying to attack me 😄

My server's number 1 in WvW for the second week now, and considering what's happened on the two that were our big competition...it's probably going to stay that way.

Halloween update comes later today...

Looks pretty sweet. I'm happy with the fact that completing dungeons will give karma - I will be set for life with that!

UUhggg I am patient person...but come on already. Makes me want to punch a baby quaggin.
