Eh. Hercules had her in pin while Wasp and Yellowjacket were helping her.
Wonder Woman owned his ass on her own. When she had him on the ground she only used ONE arm and the other to ward off the Asgardians. She didn't look the slightest bit strained.
She did used both arms. What she was doing was a chock hold. See the panel again and watch her both hands close to perform the move. You might have to look closer.
Both had the advantage in theyr rounds. She was already in a full nelson when we see Wasp and Giant man blasting her.
Just reread it. However while Diana had Hercules in a choke hold. She didn't look the least bit strained. She wasn't even concerned with Hercules struggling beneath him. She was busy talking down the Asgardians.
Hercules when he had Diana in a pin had to sneak up on Diana and get her in a pin. Not to mention he had Wasp and Yellowjacket to help. And she obviously got free since in the same picture Hercules decided to gang up on Superman.
Also here's a tricky question:
In recent events it has been shown that She-Hulk is stronger than Hercules. Yet you seem to insinuate that Hercules is stronger than Wonder Woman and even Superman. Does that mean that She-Hulk, through a bizarre twist of fate suddenly went from a second-stringer powerhouse to the top of strength hierachy?
Hercs Fighting-As Olympus's greatest warrior, Hercules is highly expert in traditional means of hand-to-hand combat, as well as in wrestling. Hercules is also very highly skilled in ancient Greek athletic feats such as the discus and hammer throws.
Just to stir the pot a little, since the JLA/Avengers became canon according to Whirly and the gang and according to Busiek's word and two sentences in a Avengers timeline/glossary, that Wonder Man can easily break Kyle's constructs, that means:
Wonder Man > Kyle > Supernova
Also Photon drained his energy converting it to empower her:
"In recent events it has been shown that She-Hulk is stronger than Hercules. Yet you seem to insinuate that Hercules is stronger than Wonder Woman and even Superman. Does that mean that She-Hulk, through a bizarre twist of fate suddenly went from a second-stringer powerhouse to the top of strength hierachy?"
Under that writer, yes. She became one of the high top tier. Allow me to explain.
The Hercules she defeated in the armwrestling match was the same who fought Wonder Woman in the crossover. Its the current Mortal Herc (tho we have yet to see if it changed permantly after his mini). Not - as - strong as he was before but close. And she did it while using a suit that was restraining her strenght. This means shes really up.
At least until her new series kick in. I dont know if Marvel will keep her at that level.
Gender: Male Location: Planning to take over the WORLD!
most cl100 guys can break qusar or gl's constructs. been happening for years. thor broke quasar's quite effortlessly ina fight herc rigged between them.
as for that list:
<<Held the earth on his shoulders.>> not in real comicbook time he hasn't. that is still speculated about. you'll never see him do it, or been shown definitive proof that he did. it's too great a feat. and that would have been the universe/firmament, not just 'the earth'.
<<Threw a gigantic dinosaur.>> so?
<<Held Manhattan on his back.>> no he didn't. in a book where herc was telling a 'tall tale' he said he grabbed manhattan island by its end and hit thor with it (or did something with it). that was NOT a 'real' feat, only made up by a boastful (and funny!) herc.
<<Pulled Manhattan by a huge chain attached to his chest.>> this is DID do, and that was quite cool. (ww also took a part in dragging the MOON from earth's orbit)
<<Ripped open Terminus.>> yep. a good feat, but hardly staggering.
<<Overcame Kang's paralysis restraints.>> that was actually VERY cool. and impressive.
<<Stood toe-to-toe with an insanely pissed off Savage Hulk.>> true, but in a fight with mindless hulk it took him and a pack of avengers to finally defeat hulk. none of them could have survived against that hulk alone for very long.
<<Even when he was Mortal, still stood toe-to-toe with Savage Hulk.>> a very cool portrayal of herc. i usually like the light-hearted boastful herc, but that was well done and showed a side of herc not shown often enough.
<<Even when he was Mortal, still stood toe-to-toe with Nefarius.>> again true, but these mortal feats don't do much to show his strength.
<<Fought, and stalemated, Thor, for weeks, and they ultimately stopped fighting out of respect for each other.>> true. they've stalemated several times, but herc was also ko'd by a single blast of thor's lightning, and in the early thor v herc (jim125 and thor 126) it was clear that thor was being portrayed as the stronger of the 2. it wasn't until odin took away thor's powers that herc finally was able to put him down. (in herc's defense, in his first appearance, they were shown to be almost exact equals in strength)
the problem with herc has ALWAYS been he's a second tier guy because he's never been popular enough to be shown beating some of the big name guys. i love him, but ww takes the majority of these i'm afraid.
A GL ring can supposedly do anything... Transmute matter, hold up the Spectre who looks to be damn heavy, anything their willpower can achieve... So that means Wonder Woman and Superman who held up the Spectre for a few seconds where Kyle held him up via his constructs...
So Wonder Man > Kyle's constructs > Weight of Spectre > Superman/Wonder Woman...
