No, I am responding to the correct person. I was agreeing with you.

Yes, but according to that scan, he is faster, but not enough that it would make a difference. That was my point and it was limited only to that fight.

Wonder Woman wins if Flash gives her a shot and she uses it well.

Out of character or just fighting to win, Flash takes it.

Isn't Hermes the "God of Speed"?

Why is WW not as fast as she needs to be whenever she needs to be?

Because Flash is faster.

(please log in to view the image)

Back in the old days, in 1991, Flash was slower than Hermes and Mercury. This was back when he still needed to eat loads of food to fuel his runs.

Later on, he got a deeper connection to the SF, and became much MUCH faster.

I'm actually surprised there are so FEW pages to this thread.
Were this Wonder Woman versus Superman, this would probably be near page 100 or more. Flash doesn't seem to have nearly as many of the kind of manic dedicated fans Big Blue has.

On other forums that may be true.

Who (with the possible exception of myself, like, once every 3 years) ever argues for her side in a standard debate?

In other words, the Slade encounter shown pages earlier was fairly legit and I'm looking for retcons that take place mid-90s or later. Good to know.

In the meantime, encounters like that are helpful in establishing the character of Wally West over the decades, his consistent behavior pattern of letting ego rule him, for starters:

Writers continue to pursue the original line of thought.
The delightful "ice cream" scene from Supergirl is a good illustration.

What you suggested of the 1990s books seems supported as well:

This actually saves me some time. Mainly say whether Diana could burn Flash out the way Spider-Man did with Venom (extreme web expenditure exhausted Brock's symbiote) if she managed to have him running around awhile, since it presumably takes Wondy less effort to fly than it does Flash to run.
Apparently, though there are many ways to stop Flash, that isn't one of them (though it once would have been) ...
