Why do people keep saying that wolverine was created to fight the Hulk?
did any of you actually read the issue. The only reason Wolvy was there in the Hulk issue was to promote the new x-men comic that was coming out around that time.And wolvys job was to make sure they stay awy from the town not go kick ass. In fact when he actually fought the hulk he got knocked on his ass. Yet the fan boys continue to bring it up as proof of his badassnes.

u relay have no ****ing idea what ur talken about. wolverine was first amde to be hulks villain. they only put him in the new x-men because he proved to be popular. also u clearly have never read any of wolverines hulks fights because then u wouldent says such foolish ness

Standard forum rules have the match taking place in an arena IIRC.
Spider-man wins because of his webbing. IMO it is the only thing that gives Spider-man a chance of winning, if Spider-man didn't use his webbing Wolverine would beat him even with out his claws. But that doesn't matter since Spidy does have his webbing, Wolverine doesn't have the physical strength to break out if he gets encased and IMO him getting encased in webbing is almost a certainty.

It's almost a tradition now, but the thing about him that I like is that after the first defeat he learns from it and comes back to give 10 times the ass kicking by using his powers,smarts,and environment to win.

That Hulk issue happened in October 74, Wolverine joined the X-men roster in 75. The fight had nothing to do with promoting the x-men since there was no intent of Wolverine becoming a member at that time, he was a stand alone character that the fans like as such he got more appearances.

Spiderman is way more popular than wolverine. Don't even lie to yourself.
Spidey always gets upgrades 15 ton..by the end of the year he is 100 ton lifter and not only talk to bugs and have organic webbing but talks to deers.

He was being a real ******* on his first appearence though.
Maybe assholes were rare on that time...people wanted more.
