thats a fairly old comic, that is nothing he foughten really to that point. Think people take things to literral. Spiderman during that time always thought little of himself. Thats a common occurances. I always took it as spiderman being scared, doubting himself and being generally surprised that some one was all around combat speed wise able to keep pace with him.
Spidermans far more confident now, and would not be scared as he shown in more recent fights between the two.
I thought this thread was actaully longer, did some one shorten it?

How would Spiderman break his neck...wtf. And what was he doing that was making him move in "slow motion"?
As much as I like the idea of the team up the astonishing books would've been more fun if there was no timetravelling. I hate that. If they just teamed up to battle some threat in our time instead of randomly hoping from one year to another it would've been better. I think they'll end up in that graveyard onceagain in the next book.

at his best i think Spidey had the other upgrade and was stabbed by Logan in a training fight that spidey purposely escalated with Logan.

Uuummm, wolverine was smiling the entire time spiderman was punching him and bounced up and tackled spiderman like nothing happened.
Do you honestly believe wolvy was trying or was going to kill spidey in that fight? A confused spidey? Spidey basically admitted on panel and was in denial of wolvy being faster than him. After the fight, spidey couldn't even hardly fight anymore... wolvy could have killed him. You must missed that part where spidey stated that he had to train his legs on how to walk again... he was fatigued.

I disagree, I really like that fight. It my favorite of all there fights. I really wish they would fight like that more. They both are two of the fastest low tier meta humans, it fun to watch them dodge and move with eachother.
