Why can't you just equal the male 'standard'? And if you are going to say that is due to a male-orientated perception of the world, then fine, that needs to change, but I don;t think you should be striving to be BETTER than men.

Because you haven't got it yet. It's not a matter of what you should have to do, it is what you DO have to do.

BTW, it is equality in humanity's eyes that women are looking for- not God's. Your point, therefore, is hardly relevant.

yeah, but my other point is. we should be granted equality, we should NOT have to strive for it. and i agree with niki - ANYWHERE in the world, we are NOT given equality, whether we equal or surpass men. even look at the american constitution - "All MEN are created equal", it has not been changed, nor has the meaning of it been changed. the world was built by men, and is controlled by men. war is begun by men, and EVERY time the men are called away to 'fight for the honour of their country, the women hold the country together, and this is PROMPTLY forgotten once the men return

some women like a little sexism.
