USH'S LOTR RP Game part 2- The Fortress of Baranar

"Well, I had thought that now is the best time. If we are discussing the forthcoming war then I need to know my place. If I stay here, I represent Rivendell, my home. If I go to seek out a mortal life then I will avenge my father's death that occurred many years ago."

She said as she glared at him.

This is the biggest decision for me to make and everyone thinks its a joke. I'll show them when I am at war killing the orcs with my bow!

"Let us not be hasty to talk of coming wars," says Elrond. "I would remind all that no decision should be taken until you are all aware of the situation- but I can assure you, none of the Elven realms will be going to war."

(I'm sry if I offened you,really didn't meant it.but if you wanna discuss things like this you would discuss them in private with elrond I guess.I meen you don't wanna everyone to know u're problems.😄 P.S u're not very good with the bow 😉 😄 kiddn'😉

(its ok fitch...i am not mad...it just gets aggravating.....ok now everything that is in ITALICS are her thoughts...she is not FREELY talking about all of this...EXCEPT what was between her and Elrond and he has already given her his advice..which she was thinking over!!!! I just thought it would be good for my character b/c she does want to help with the war. She's being pulled right now...kind of like Frodo..though her character is not IMPORTANT!! When Frodo was younger he liked the shire...well she likes Rivendell...... 😄 FITCH: yes she is good with the bow and arrow!! 😄)

Now Revan turns to Elrond. "Lord Elrond, may I ask why the Elves will not be going to war against the Witch-King? As long as we may live in Middle-Earth, it is as much our concern as that of men."

"My thoughts exactly, Revan." Eliara piped in.

"Don't we need to protect ourselves? The war will makes its path this way eventually....why not stop it now, rather than waiting for later to come." She said to Elrond.

She was a younger elf and she was highly motivated at the thought of being able to use her bow on something other than a wooden target.

"Sorry to interupt,but this is not our war.This doesn't meen we shall not help or give aid and advice,but this is not an elf war." ways Palanfirith.

Eliara turns to Palanfirth. "Would it not be better to stop the war from landing on our doorstep later?"

"I may not be very experienced with talks of war, but it would seem to be a smart move."

"That is not necessarily so," says Elrond, "and as I am sure we shall get onto soon, it is not within our remit or our power, or within the bounds of good sense, to become further involved at this point."

Corlindel is confused with Elrond words. He admires Elrond knowledge and experience and he knows for sure what his better for Middle-Earth.

"But so Master Elrond: What shall be our role when war is reaching our borders and menacing the Elven Kingdons of Middle-Earth?"

"That is something to be decided at the time," says Elrond. "Few can see what the possibilities may be then."

You know Cirdan is of the same mind as Elrond.

Corlindel remembers in silence his father's dead by Angmar armies at the plains of Rhudaur during the northern Kingdowns invasion centuries ago. Corlindel was a child when that happened, and he didnt forgot when his mother told him that hsi father was been killed by the Witch-King himself. Corlindel always tried to keep this feelings of hate trying to be rational and prudent, but in the deepness of his heart. Corlindel wants REVENGE!

Ok. My apologizes for my character. He is young and impulsive sometimes and even wise he has not the vision and mind of Elrond and Cirdan. 🙂

No, that's fine, it is all understood. In fact, this situation- why the Elves are not helping Man- is one of the core situations of the game, and as players I would hope that over time you become minded to help the Humans.

The reasons why they are not will be gone into soon. But one important thing for people to remember, that the Alliance of peoples seen in Lord of the Rings simply does not exist at this point, and another one of the fundamental points of the game is that King Arvedui- more to be spoken of him soon- is TRYING to create such a thing- with the guidance of Gandalf.

But as yet, few feel that their fates are intertwined,. The Elves are confident that they can defend their own Havens. Perhaps a very loose allegroy would be the US in World War II. It was happy to shoot back if attacked, help escort european ships, accept their refugees, send financial aid... but it would NOT go to war on Europe's behalf, not until war was declared on it.

The Geography is different here, but the attitude is similar. Anyway, more on that soon, as I say.

Palanfirith and Vardalain (Fitch and Dexx) now already as Elrond has already been through this with them. In fact, the whole of the first story was really just learning by experience everything I am now just telling the new guys.

(Corlindel KMC member backs to work while Elrond is speaking. When I write something during my work my character gets to much impusive. I hope elven kingdons dont fall as consequence of my working stress 😛 😄)
