Started by Fire211 pages

*nothing happened yet dexx, just elrond talking 😛*

*Listens carefuly*

yeah, i read

"So you suggest a reunion between them ?" says Palanfirith.

Revan sits and waits patiently for Elrond to continue, prefering listening to talking.

(there aren't enough elves for even a comparable alliance to that one, fitch. And the ones who still are around, don't trust the human kind...a good reason for that too)

(ahem dexx, u reading the silmarillion now ? 😄)

What you mean:

"There were some really great Elves, and they had a King, and formed an Empire, but then he was killed by a Balrog, and everything went to hell, and then the two most powerful Elves got in a mood and argued with each other, and one of them killed the other, and became King, and was then killed by a Balrog..."

For about 300 pages?

heh 😂

Yeap! Corlindel's father was there when Feanor and Fingon were killed by Gothmog! I want my private revenge 😄

At Baranar:

"There are indeed still more enemy forces arriving," says Baranar. "Without siege weaponry a direct assault would be awkward, but they can improvise ladders and with so few defenders we will be overrun easily. Even if a cure arrives tomorrow, I could only add about another 150 men to the walls; it will take weeks for some to recover.

"The situation is this. We hope that a cure will soon arrive, and that we can defend ourselves. A relieving army is coming from Fornost. That army will never take the field of battle. What will happen is that when the Orcs learn of its appraoch, they will begin their assault on Baranar in the hope of overwhelming us first. They will either succeed or fail; we have to make them fail. If we succeed, the reliving army will arrive soon after and Baranar will be safe; the Witch-King would be a whole setting up a new force to be sent so remotely, and besides, the reason for him to do so would fail.

"Before we discuss the military situation, however, I wish to discuss the political one. That is, after all, why we are all here, yes? Now, do all of you assembled understand the politics here? I would happily go over it again for everyone."

At Rivendell

"A re-union between Arnor and Gondor?" says Elrond, to Palanfirith. "As you will see, that has recently been tried, and failed. They are too distinctive after such time. Imagine if a Human asked us to unify the Mirkwood and Mithlond [Grey Havens]- once they came under the same rule, but who would see them as one now?"

"Even with that in mind, however, it must be borne in mind that the Kingdom of Man was never intended to be split so, and that it has been so is of pain to us all."

(OOC:rushes in.......sorry i'm late...my computer at home took a crap and we are getting a new modem(i think that's what happened) this coming weekend..........)

In Rivendel

Eliara sat among the great table and gazed around at the faces that had came. Many were new faces to her, for she had seen many faces go in and out of Rivendell throughout the long years.

Her emerald eyes made their way back to Elrond as she tried to listen keenly to his speech.

For a moment the sun came out and in her long brown hair appeared to have auburn in it. She had two small braids that came from both sides and that began from the top of her head. The rest of her hair was free and flowing with loose curls.

Her attention left from Elrond's speech, and took to looking around at beautiful Rivendell. She became lost in her thoughts......

I'm really going to miss this place, it's so peaceful here.

I wish to know what adventures are out there for me.......

Will we win this war? If not, what will happen.......will we all perish.....

What part will I play in this battle?

I hope I fight as good as my father had...........this is my time to avenge his death upon those who took it from him so long ago.

Once I leave from Rivendell taking on my human side and leaving my elf life behind, shall I return ever to Rivendell again?

Her thoughts were interrupted by Elrond's voice as it became a little louder. She continued to listen.

It would indeed have been better if the two kingdoms were still united but that is the way it goes, ppl change the world changes. I wonder where he's going with this

"I am always willing to listen to you again - I may discover something I missed..."

Eliara was still listening to Elrond talking.

If only a unity could be the answer, then there wouldn't be so much blood spilt. She thought.

She was beginning to feel wearisome of the forthcoming war, but then her spirits lightened a little when she remembered about her elven bow that Elrond had given her as a gift for successfully completing the hardest level of archery training, along with getting above average scores.

At least I get to REALLY use my bow now, instead of on practicing targets.

She forced a smile at that thought.

"Master Elrond, the faith of the fortress of Baranar is also a primary objective. We come from there for aid and advice. The situation there is critical and we should think about the strategy behind this matter." says Palanfirith.

"Lord Baranar, Lady Aiwendil is right, we should go over the political situation again to make sure everything is in order as it is, as you yourself have said, the main reason for us beeing here.
I would also advise that all available men be sent to their battle-posts on the walls of the fortress, to prevent a surprise attack by the orcs"

ahem..vardalain is quiet...he listens, for now.

Eliara began to speak in a soft voice. "Master Elrond, if there will be such battles coming then I choose a mortal life." She was silent for a moment before she spoke again. She did not look up but she felt Elrond's eyes on her.

"I choose this path in life so I may do what I can to help establish peace among the lands of middle-earth."

"Both my mother's and my father's blood were spilled on the lands long ago in the earlier wars, and my hopes are for us to be able stop the blood being spilled so that we all may walk in more peaceful paths.....if its not meant for us to walk in them, at least it will leave hope for the younger generations." She said.

*shakes head slightly*
Most of them are blattering about things that have no value and shouldn't be discussed here, good thing Palanfirith knows what needs to be done
